There is no way that Trump can get her replacement confirmed without winning re-election.

Terrible for America. Might be good for Dems though as this won't be a campaign issue for Trump and Turtle to rally support around any longer.

The question is, will Dems pack the court once they are in power?

Seriously? They will push the candidate through either by the election or, at the very least, during the lame duck session that follows. I am praying for the latter, as it would be devastating to have 5 arch-conservatives making decisions on the lawsuits filed by Trump that are related to the election.

Were it one month later, I would agree with you.

As long as GOP doesn't try to ram somebody through now, this may help Biden...

I would think obviously Dems and hopefully many independents would not want Trump putting another conservative on the court right now...

if Trump and GOP decide to ram somebody through, it has to hurt them with electorate in my opinion

Not with the Conservative electorate. Ramming someone through is exactly what they’ll expect.

Just days before her death, as her strength waned, Ginsburg dictated this statement to her granddaughter Clara Spera: "My most fervent wish is that i I will not be replaced until a new president is installed

FOX NEWS has already said Trump is expected to nominate someone and GOP Senate will approve before election...Garland was different because Senate is same party as President according to McConnell

Unbelievable...

The only hope is that those Republicans in danger of losing their seat will refuse to confirm until after the election. That just might happen.

I am just going to assume that is not going to happen and prepare for the worst. This is 2020 afterall.

Too many vulnerable Senate republicans to get it done IMO. Pushing this through while losing the senate guarantees the Dems will add 2 justices and end up net +1 as opposed to neutral.
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?
