LOLz. Supreme court ask to quash 1A rights because butt hurt

I'm sympathetic to this. If I become President I have to take folks off my BSG ignore list, otherwise I'm violating the first amendment? Not sure that's a reasonable interpretation of social media in today's world.

I know TV has previously retracted his doubtfulness about Biden’s “electability,” and while I would have agreed with his questions as certainly not without cause, looking back at his original win in Delaware in 1972, it is pretty flat out amazing. He beat a sitting and longtime Republican incumbent in a red state in a year where the top of the ticket - Republican President Nixon - won by an historic landslide - and he did it as aN anonymous 29 year old with no family or personal fortune from which to draw. And so far as I can tell he was not helped by some unexpected scandal or something; the biggest knock on the guy he beat was that the guy had considered retiring before being encouraged to run for one more term to avoid an ugly Republican primary fight.

I can say as someone who ran for a much smaller local State office that his victory in 1972 says something Pretty signIficant about him. I mean it is almost beyond belief.

Frank Sheehan (the “Irishman” guy) claimed he organized a Teamsters strike around the Wilmington News Journal leading up to the election because Boggs had bought lots of anti-Biden ads. Like everything Sheehan said, there’s good reason to doubt it, but it’s an interesting story. He was the head of the Wilmington local at the time.

Biden is hitting a home run. Particularly like the rhetorical question about whether this was the generation that could end racism. Sounds like he is taking to all of us but quietly he is speaking to the forgotten idealism of boomers who have grown fat and old and contented in their greed.

This is why Joe Biden can win by Wolf like margins and not HRC like in places like Lackawana. Not sure HRC talked as much about jobs, jobs, jobs in her whole campaign as Biden has tonight.

If that's his stump speech, whatever stumping there will be, he's in good shape.

If conventions are for firing up your base: it worked. I want to go out and organize a million Biden voters right now.

Just as importantly: avoid LOSING in places like Schuylkill county by HRC margins - keeping it in the Barack Obama ballpark.

That too. I do wonder how lost those places are, but I guess we will see here in 75 days.

HRC won Chester Co by like 11. If Biden can push that to 13 and bump the other collar county numbers,he will win PA walking away.

Like what exactly?

I was very much a Bernie guy and I get it but it’s over and you don’t get anything if you don’t win first.

Sure, it's tied into what I said last night. They have to change the structure of this. It's August, and I don't doubt that some people are fired up now and dedicated to helping Biden win. We'll see if that's true a month from now. I think the convention is dated and is not doing what it was originally organized for. They have to be trying to change the minds of people that don't want to vote for them. That doesn't mean having a bunch of Republicans that hate Trump, it means having people that like Trump and trying to have a conversation with them

So it's your friends that like Trump that are unmoved by this?

No, weird way to read that. I think DNC has to be more about engaging people than pandering. I can't believe this is a wild idea

But how do you do that in a convention format? Bring in a bunch of “persuadable” Trump voters and have Canvassers live organize them on the air?

I think it's a weird idea that you think Biden sitting with a Trump supporters having a conversation would somehow be more helpful than a number of things they did of the past several nights.
