just went to reorder these bamboo infused boxer briefs that i bought on amazon back in 18 and found out the briefs and the company no longer exist. these were 5 star briefs. i was hoping to replace all my other briefs with these. the ones i bought a couple of years ago look and feel like they just came out of the package. and that anti-bacterial fungus thing... you better put them in laundry basket when you're done with them because you could run 5k in august and the next day if you put them on the wrong pile, they'll still pass the sniff test. don't know if this some deep state establishment shit or like my grandparents telling me when i was a kid that light bulbs used to last for 25 years and found out they were too good and almost put themselves out of business. missed the boat on the reorder.

Didn’t want to hijack the COVID thread more than I already did with my Jansport comment. I remember I didn’t have a Jansport when I first started middle school, which I quickly found out was clearly a necessity if I wanted to survive. I asked my mom if I could get one and she agreed. When we went to the store, she was NOT happy when she saw how expensive they were compared to others. But she had promised, so she couldn’t back out.

My best friend, on the other hand, had this gigantic, bigger than he was, ugly, old man looking LL Bean backpack WITH his name stitched on it. He carried all his worldly possessions in there. Looked like a sherpa. It would have been better had he just worn a bullseye, at least then he would’ve had a chance to run away. He used that thing all the way through high school.

Those Jansport were indestructible. Had a yellow/orange one that got me through jr.high to high school. Hated the color but it was like the last one at laneco or on the clearance rack. Mom picked it up for me.

I thought the kids today had to use the see thru plastic backpacks or do schools now have metal detectors with security like the airport?

I guess it depends on the school. Now that you mention it though, I do remember that in 8th grade we were only allowed to have backpacks entering the school in the morning and leaving in the afternoon. In between they had to stay in our lockers. So you either had to carry all your books and stuff in your hands or race to your locker in between classes. That was annoying.

Does anybody else immediately yell "Bosco!" when they see a dog wearing a cone*, or is it just me??

*surgery recovery cone to keep them from licking or biting the affected area, NOT an ice cream cone slowhand.

I would not have made that joke because 1) A dog would simply eat the ice cream cone and 2) I don’t understand the Bosco reference.

Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't get the Bosco reference.

Figured it was like Bucky yelling "I want my Maypo" at breakfast

performed some DIY surgery to remove an ingrown/hang nail from my big toe last night. thing was like a 1/4 long and really had to dig long and hard to get it to the surface. poured a half a bottle of rubbing alcohol on it and feeling great. went online to compare my work to that of others. holy shit, i've seen amputations for lesser shit. that's some gruesome stuff.
