I prefer Duckworth. I am not sure how strong she is on policy so like just about every voter, I like her based on her public persona not anything factual

the hurricane easily blowing over trump’s border wall.

“U.S. Customs and Border Protection is not aware of any border wall panels falling over due to Hurricane Hanna hitting the Rio Grande Valley Sector this past weekend,” the agency told Forbes. CBP said that the video was actually taken at a Department of Defense construction site in New Mexico in June.

No word about that odd weather in New Mexico, but I am no expert on that subject.

Also no comment as to why the DoD would be taking down sections of 'the wall' separating Mexico and the USA.

She's my favorite, too. She's smart, accomplished, tough and and takes no crap from Trump. She represents in one person multiple aspects of the new America.

I knew he cancelled the appearance but did not see this tweet:

@realDonaldTrump
Because of my strong focus on the China Virus, including scheduled meetings on Vaccines, our economy and much else, I won’t be able to be in New York to throw out the opening pitch for the @Yankees on August 15th. We will make it later in the season!

You underestimate how racist/sexist many people are in this country.

In fairness, this country also elected a black President twice then almost put a largely unpopular female candidate in the White House to follow.

So disgusting to watch Twitter’s so-called “Trending”, where sooo many trends are about me, and never a good one. They look for anything they can find, make it as bad as possible, and blow it up, trying to make it trend. Really ridiculous, illegal, and, of course, very unfair!

He’s apparently had a standing invitation (who knows for how long) and got jealous Faucci threw out an opening pitch.

This is consistent with the theory that his understanding of business/politics/anything is the equivalent of Michael Scott's understanding of declaring bankruptcy.

This is the beginning to the NYT article on it

An hour before Dr. Anthony S. Fauci threw the first pitch at the season opener between the New York Yankees and the Washington Nationals, President Trump stood on the briefing room stage at the White House and declared that he, too, had been invited to throw out his own opening pitch.

“Randy Levine is a great friend of mine from the Yankees,” Mr. Trump, referring to the president of the baseball team, told reporters on Thursday as Dr. Fauci was preparing to take the mound. “And he asked me to throw out the first pitch, and I think I’m doing that on Aug. 15 at Yankee Stadium.”

There was one problem: Mr. Trump had not actually been invited on that day by the Yankees, according to one person with knowledge of Mr. Trump’s schedule. His announcement surprised both Yankees officials and the White House staff.

But Mr. Trump had been so annoyed by Dr. Fauci’s turn in the limelight, an official familiar with his reaction said, that he had directed his aides to call Yankees officials and make good on a longtime standing offer from Mr. Levine to throw out an opening pitch. No date was ever finalized.

After the president’s announcement, White House aides scrambled to let the team know that he was actually booked on Aug. 15, although they have not said what he plans to do. Over the weekend, Mr. Trump officially canceled.

So I never read anything about this QAnon thing until today. Before today, I thought it was a group, but it's actually a conspiracy theory. Trump is supporting this nonsense and they believe there is a coming "Storm" where opponents of Trump (the cabal) will be arrested and placed in prison and then peace will reign on Earth. I mean, sounds like a religious cult. And I don't like the sound of the storm thing.
