I'm aware of the hangings in California, and one that took place a while ago in Tryon Park in Manhattan. Any details on the other two (if the one in NY is one you're referring to?

Lord knows you can't and shouldn't dismiss any possibility, but I will say the rate of suicide among African Americans (about five a day, with many more attempts) and especially among young males is a significant and often overlooked effect of systemic racism, and if it turns out foul play is not involved I'm hoping that the deaths will not be dismissed as "just" a suicide, but will instead focus attention on this problem.

Obviously I'm more annoyed at the young man's death, but also by the assertion in the tweet that someone was "hung [sic] from City Hall" which didn't happen and is not a help.

One of the others was in Houston. Supposedly, the coroner in the Palmdale case has withdrawn the suicide conclusion, and it's now being investigated further.

Well, maybe you can trust The New York Post, who quotes "police sources" as saying " the case has been deemed unintentional after it appeared that whatever cleaning solution was used on the shake machine wasn’t rinsed off enough."

Or maybe they're just full of it (not shakes, though). Just seemed weird that NYPD was finding "no criminal intent" if in fact bleach (as the Police Union asserted) had been added to anyone's drinks.

The 75-year old protester who was pushed to the ground by Buffalo police officers has a fractured skull and cannot walk, his lawyer said Tuesday. Martin Gugino had been peacefully protesting at a Black Lives Matter event in early June when he was shoved by the officers, who have since been charged with assault. Gugino has been attacked by President Donald Trump, who accused him of being an antifa “provocateur” and insisted he “fell harder than he was pushed.

yeah, too much sanitizer and too many idiots on BOTH sides jumping to conclusions.

If someone was actually trying to poison the cops they wouldn't use bleach. I wouldn't recommend quaffing a big glass of it with your breakfast every day but it's not particularly toxic when ingested.

I wonder how easily Trump would fall if pushed. Probably would look pretty similar.
