Sometimes I believe this but also there's some evidence that the polling showed that his approval rating went down when his dumb ass was up there spewing nonsense every night.

Not only that, but I think that trend has reversed itself with him mostly confining his insanity to Twitter, which gets the politically plugged in fired up but normals don't see. If he starts having more events like yesterday, I'd imagine the trend will head back south again.

Sounds like Sekulow and Company are not having a good day in front of SCOTUS. The whole argument is that the President is above the law. Roberts, Alito, Gorsuch, and Kanavaugh all piled on lol. Sekulow also asked the court for "temporary Presidential immunity".

But they also let Letter have it about limits to House subpoenas. Even some of the liberal justices expressed concern about limits. This could give the conservative justices a reason to go with Trump's arguments. Letter had to admit that medical records would almost always be off limits.

It's going to suck if they side with Trump to prevent future harassment of a president even though this particular case is not harassment.

As if the TV ads weren't enough I just received this text from a toll-free number:

Where is Sleepy Joe? Instead of leading in a crisis and saving lives, he's busy protecting China's feelings. Here's the latest: (link I'm not typing)

"They claim pandemics only happen once every hundred years but what if that's no longer true? We want to be early, ready for the next one, because clearly the Obama administration did not leave to this administration any kind of game plan for something like this," (Mitch) McConnell said.

"That's exactly right," Lara Trump responded.

Well aside from the 69 page document that the Obama administration write titled "Playbook for Early Response to High-Consequence Emerging Infectious Disease Threats and Biological Incidents"

So technically the didn't leave a "games plan" they left a playbook, but it is a near synonym.

Where is that big beautiful Trump care for the millions that need coverage? Since the funds for advertising were just left alone there are no directions of how to get insurance, not that the newly unemployed can necessarily afford it.

I am sure that the spin is Obama.

You guys read a lot of the intertubes and follow the fake news media. When Don was asked what Obamagate is he said 'you know, read the papers'. I'm feeling lazy, what are all the reputable news outlets saying?

Now planet nonsense, which informs Donald thinking, would lead me to believe that this is modern miner '49er Buck Sexton striking gold in them there hills as a conspiracy theory spinner knitting his claim that Obama spent his time after the election orchestrating the demise of Trump and the country. “The biggest political crime in American history, by far!” As if that could be kept quite for so long, even by the Deep State.

Just more butt hurt over the investigation into Russian interference? Especially since the senate quietly agreed.

People are such snow flakes over Team Trump doing such a piss poor job at being president.

Yep, it’s crazy how he can act as unhinged as he does on twitter on a daily basis and it’s just a total non-story for the most part. It’s not like he’s doing it in some closed door meeting, it’s on a very popular public website that everyone can see. But on-camera stuff seems like the only thing that moves the needle.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

Based on Barr's conduct, I can only imagine how unhinged this Durham report is going to be. Thing will probably be written in crayon.

What, if anything, can we take away from the GOP victories in the WI and CA special elections? A harbinger of things to come, or outliers?

Wisconsin saw a Republican hold, and CA saw a R get a seat back that they held for 26 of the last 28 years. By all accounts the D there was basically a Katie McGinty level stiff. Not sure there's much to read into here.

Wisconsin 7th has a Cook PVI of R +8. Very rural and agrarian. Obama won it in '08, but it went for Romney and then pretty strongly for Trump. Would have been a tough pickup.

It's the same candidates in November. Candidates will matter less because people will be turning out for the presidential.
