Really doubt it. The wingnuts that get off on this crap are already voting for Trump. Besides, this would seemingly be out of character for Barr in his quest to turn the position of POTUS into a temporary absolute monarch. It would also set a precedent that would inevitably backfire on the GOP once a Dem is back in the White House.

I certainly understand the fear though, as Barr is just as corrupt as Trump and Mitch. He may be willing to go against his “principles” for enough $$$.

Yeah I don't think they'll actually draw up charges on Obama, just like he didn't actually want an investigation of Hunter Biden, just an announcement of one. Flood the zone with crap and get people talking about made up stuff that doesn't matter. Last time it was her emails, Benghazi, Uranium One. This time it's Obamagate, Burisma, and probably a lot of stuff about the Bidens and China.

They muddy the waters to rile up the base with a bunch of stuff they don't fully understand. I'm more worried about the legal ramifications for other Trump surrogates who are in jail right now - Trump will do anything to consolidate his power and let total creeps like Barr do the dirty work.

The key is getting him to talk about things that people are paying attention to. People are paying attention to the virus stuff because it affects them directly. He clearly was spouting nonsense and people knew it was nonsense because they are paying attention. If he makes stuff up about tariffs or whatever, people don't know enough about it to know he's lying or uninformed.
