It’s serves up math problems for the kids to solve and it chooses thing for them to work on based on skill level and it will emphasize things that they need work on. All of that is fine and great, but some the questions are vague and it does not interpret answers other than EXACTLY what is expected to be entered.

He’s doing geometry now and in the past week he’s had multiple questions that say “solve for x” and there will be multiple things labeled as x on the shape so he’s guessing which x to solve for and when he solves for the wrong x he gets pissed because when you get one wrong it doesn’t count. So the assignment will be do 20 problems, but the ones that you get wrong don’t count, but you can’t move on to the next question until you get it right.

As for the answer interpretation, it won’t tell you if it is expecting a fraction or decimal and sometimes it is not clear how it should be input. So he’ll plug in a correct answer in decimal form but it’s expecting a fraction and it’s wrong.

In both of these as well as anytime he gets it wrong, it doesn’t count towards the total and it doesn’t tell you what you got wrong and you can’t move on to the next question until you get it correct.

So may times I’ve been sitting there with him trying to help him and I’m like, it’s right I don’t know why it’s saying you’re wrong and then he’ll type the same exact answer in but slightly differently and then it will come back as correct. If it gave some feedback it would be so much more helpful.
