Everything from that era is an escape for me. Don't know if they were simpler times but my outlook and awareness certainly were. I'd guess that's what it was like for my pop when I'd find a western from his childhood on TV.

Speaking of westerns I've actually started to watch some of those too. Helps avoid the news. Gonna get 2 goldfish and name them Paladin and Steve McQueen as Josh Randall.

Appears to be a big NRA guy, right-wing nutjob, water theft during a drought, numerous stories of being a jerk IRL, etc.

I guess this is kinda silly but the big one for me is the reverse mortgage commercials. It bothers me way more than it should when celebrities (who shouldn't need the money) put their name on products that likely take advantage of people.

reverse mortgage... i hope i am wrong, but that's going to be the norm for retirement "savings" for the average american in 25+ years with the high cost of housing in most major metro areas on the east and west coast.
