I hope they don't waste all our ammo and save something for when this actually gets bad.

The stock market circuit breaker is getting triggered (7% down) at like 9:35 AM again tomorrow. Wouldn’t be surprised to see another emergency rate cut tomorrow either. It’s going to be ugly

My expectation is that once this thing passes, there will be a matching period of rapid increase in stock price.

Our stock prices depend much more on trade with Asia than consumer confidence.

The solution for coronavirus is the same as the solution for every problem facing our nation, tax cuts.

Every single major thing he did in that speech was bad. Cutting off Europe, but not the UK. Taking credit for the fantastic economy. Tax cuts. Tax cuts. Special tax cuts. Tax cuts for companies that meet certain criteria. What criteria? Whatever enriches him the most.

Fucking Pence is still all spin during this Today show interview. I'd let Savannah Guthrie do a lot of things to me but interrogation isn't one of them.

Markets dropped 50 percent during that recession, let's hope that doesn't happen here.

Trump wants to cut the CDC's funding:
WASHINGTON — U.S. House lawmakers resoundingly rebuffed a Trump administration request to cut funding for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention amid the coronavirus crisis.

The CDC director testified Tuesday before the House Appropriations Committee, where Republicans and Democrats alike said Congress won’t comply with the budget cuts requested in Trump’s fiscal year 2021 spending plan. The White House proposed to cut CDC’s overall spending by 9 percent in the next fiscal year.

“This subcommittee will not be pursuing the administration’s proposed cuts. To cut from our public health infrastructure during an outbreak is beyond consideration,” said U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., the chairwoman of the appropriations subcommittee that oversees the CDC’s budget.

Instead, Congress will aim to funnel more money into the CDC and the nation’s public health system, she added. “We will not lurch from crisis to crisis and lapse into complacency in between. We cannot. This coronavirus outbreak makes that clear.”

If COVID-19 was God's plan to convince the world that this is the most inept administration in history, it worked. Fucking moron cannot even read directly from a teleprompter. And I won't even waste my time getting into the bull shit that he actually said (or tried to say).

There’s a pretty good chance it will be worse. This is going to get much worse before it gets better and it’s not going away for months.

Oops, I tried to edit a post and apparently deleted it. Had a professor going on about the 4th amendment and New Rochelle. Search and seizure. He meant extending it to 'False Imprisonment'. I put that in single quote because 1) he did not say it, and 2) I am not sure this applies except to the most jaundice interpretation. This is more akin to marshal law.

I did suggest it was closer to the 3rd but assumed that the National Guard procured their own hosing. The snark was lost on him, so I took the opportunity to move on.

Pence: Thousand more will get this

Guthrie: Thousands or millions?

Pence: I'll let the experts answer that

Moments before Guthrie stated that Dr. Falci said as much as a third of the US could get this. That is over 100M.
