7% makes it close for Joe and a 9% flip defeats Bernie. Real wild card territory.

I dunno if it was mentioned here, and I don't think it means all that much, but on Feb 28, CNN released a poll that showed Biden over Trump by 1% in Texas. A bunch of other polls had Trump leading by 1%. Considering this is basically pre covid 18, and pre-market meltdown, I'd be interested in seeing more Texas polls.

Marist poll of roughly the same timeframe had Trump +4 against both. Close but outside the margin of error.

Older Americans, especially those with underlying health conditions, should stockpile supplies and avoid unnecessary travel, a top official at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said Monday.

This sounds a little different then what the president said, right?

i hope joe is able to keep things together. i loved him and wanted him in 16,(yeah,i know) but damn he looks a little too ripe today. if they were eventually going to get behind any candidate but bernie, it honestly should've been pretty much anyone else. still think liz and her personality which didn't play well in the primary, would've in the general against trump. honestly, i know bernie feels a little burn from hillary and the DNC back in 16, but he should just have been happy standing aside and watching his place in history as a leader in the progressive movement and moving the needle of the party ideology towards it. i said it before as long as it's not bernie and the dem has a pulse, he or she will beat trump. just starting to get a little worried with joe. this should've been a slam dunk, might wind up being a jumper from leonard instead.

Mark Meadows self quarantining despite no symptoms and out of an abundance of caution is so great. Guy does not want to be associated with any of this.
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

It’s Trump’s plot to keep the Presidency.

Right. None of these guys have any symptoms at all. Everyone at CPAC who met with this dude will quarantine.

This was what I said two weeks ago

Coronavirus is going to be an unimportant very not big deal until election time rolls around, at which point it will be such a big deal that we need to close polling places.

Eten and Cohn think there's a chance Biden goes 6 for 6 tomorrow. Sanders opened PA offices today. Would he drop out if that happened? And if not this week, next he is going to lose big too it would seem.

My gut says he stays in until Joe surpasses the majority threshold.

If tomorrow goes badly for Bernie, Biden doesn't fall on his face in the debate, and then next Tuesday goes as badly for Bernie as it seems, it's hard to justify him staying in the race. Which isn't to mean he won't since he's not a member of the party.

Though I think all the oxygen in the room news wise - especially if this coronavirus shit spreads widely - is going to be taken up by other things. And Biden could easily get away with suspending campaign activity for X amount of time while things calm down, and still win primaries. So if Bernie goes forward with a zombie campaign arguing for his issues, not really the end of the world or something that's going to hurt in November.

If Bernie gets hammered the next two weeks and continues to go negative on Biden and nurse grievances about the establishment stealing the nomination from him when he's lost it fair and square again, that could hurt in November.

“People you trust, people you probably voted for, have spent weeks minimizing what is clearly a very serious problem,” Carlson said, later adding, “They’re wrong. The Chinese coronavirus is a major event. It will affect your life, and by the way, it’s definitely not just the flu. In a typical year, the flu in this country has a mortality rate of about 1 in 1000. The overall death rate for this virus, by contrast, is as high as 3.4%.”

Carlson also pushed back on the notion that it’s only a matter of time before the coronavirus is a thing of the past. Early on in the outbreak, Trump said the virus would go away in April when the weather gets warmer. “The Chinese coronavirus will get worse,” Carlson said. “Its effects will be far more disruptive than they are right now. That is not a guess, it is inevitable no matter what they’re telling you. Let’s hope everyone stops lying about that and soon.”

You know when Tucker Carlson breaks rank shit is real. If Hannity were to follow suit, I'd be heading for a fallout shelter.

The less Biden has to talk, the better off he'll be. People already like him well enough to elect him.

Thinking about it more, if Trump doesn't agree to a debate with Biden, I believe that helps Biden.

In the day to day grind of living in Donald world (getting farther from reality and closer to the duck to editorialize) I did not see this touch of insanity:

Don comments on his re-tweet:

Who knows what this means, but it sounds good to me!

About this Dan Scanvino tweeted meme:

The 4D Chess version is that Scanvino was tipping his hat to the Q crowd being ignorant of the idea that this would have other implications about the real world and ineptitude.
