It's like a bad movie plot, all these old people getting their coronavirus news from FOX

2- need to fix the economic fallout!
3- PAYROLL TAX HOLIDAY!!! (i.e. no social security tax this year)
(enter the turtle)
4- SOCIAL SECURITY FUND IS BROKE!
5- SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICARE MUST BE CUT IN 2021 BUDGET

A local tech player is having a town hall to tell their 6500+ workforce to work from home for the foreseeable future if at all possible. This is preventative.

Since Cheltenham closed yesterday, I emailed HR about what should I do if Abington closes (bc my kid goes there). She thought i just meant that we should close bc schools are closing, but I clarified that I wanted to know if they wanted me to stay home if my kid's school closes. She thanked me for bringing that up, they hadn't thought about it.

I sort of get telling people not to go to work, cancelling face to face classes, and such. I suppose it might limit transmission. But it seems to me the workforce most at risk of getting and transmitting the virus would be people in retail and food service. Are we closing stores and restaurants?

I would think it's medical obviously but then flight attendants. Has there been any info on their rate of contracting the disease?

The Ivy League
@IvyLeague
The Ivy League has decided to cancel the League's upcoming Basketball Tournaments and implement highly-restrictive, in-venue spectator limitations for all other upcoming campus athletics events.

Nice and easy to do when the regular season determines your NCAA bid (and no one is on the bubble) I guess.

Edit: been informed that this is fake news. apologies to all affected.

Was that the 'Most corrupt administration in the history of the United states' tweet or the 'he didn't get funding thought on vaccines/testing' or some other?

BTW - for a guy who has been an anti-vax hero he sure has spent a lot of time talking about vaccines, and some miracle cure.

The tournament determines the bid since 2017 I believe.

Lil' Vulture is supposed to be performing in Firebringer at the end of the month. I hope it isn't cancelled. She's on spring break now, and has been in Chicago with her improv group going to comedy shows and workshops.
