Politics: What’s so Super about Tuesday?

Seems the Trump Administration is criminally underprepared for the Corona Virus per a private briefing this morning. In a public hearing happening now even Sen Kennedy was grilling the acting Dir. Of DHS. Pretty neat!

I would like to hear somebody press Trump on his boy Xi since Xi is responsible for the near pandemic level of the virus.

Regarding the briefing, I think them having infected passengers flying home commercial with hundreds of other healthy, unsuspecting passengers told us all we needed to know about this administration's competency to handle this growing crisis.

The CDC just held a press call...

Lisa Desjardins
@LisaDNews
NOW: CDC's Nancy Messonnier told reporters something becoming evident ...
It is not a question of *if* coronavirus will spread through the United States, but a question of *when* and *how many people will have severe illness*.

Lisa Desjardins
@LisaDNews
This re: cornovirus: CDC top immune official says the virus may well lead to "loss of income* and "significant disruption of live".
Says families need to make plans now for how they would handle closure of schools and day cares.
Says she personally spoke to her family this am

@LisaDNews
CDC: The American ppl should prepare for the possibility that their lives may be disrupted b/c of coronavirus.
Says ppl may have to stay home from work, schools and daycares may close.
And ppl should make plans for how to handle that, now.
(Telecommuting, child care plans.)

Not even! Cuccinelli is an acting deputy director. The acting director of Homeland Security was the one who couldn't answer basic questions today.

These are the stupidest people in America. And they're in charge.

If it was Ebola, yeah. If I had a compromised immune system or was elderly, yeah. As things stand I am concerned for the welfare of my older friends and relatives, but I am not particularly fearful.

And yes, I do understand that a handful of seemingly healthy folks have succombed to this virus and I will freak the fuck out if my wife or I contract it. With that said, odds are we would make it through just fine as the vast majority of the cases aren't much more severe than the common cold.

Prediction: Biden will either win South Carolina by over 20 or he, Steyer, and Bernie will be a muddled mess at the top.

Watch it, that limb you climbed out on is liable to break.

All Bernie really needs to do is finish a reasonable second in SC. Keeps a Biden swing to a minimum, Super Tuesday can then be a big day.

If Biden wins big on Saturday night, he's still alive.

Bloomberg can hang around because of his money, but it's really Sanders v. Biden I think at this point.

I will say the Biden campaign has a piece of tape they are running in South Carolina where Bernie, in 2011, says Obama should face a primary challenge.

That could be killer.

In 2008, the final RCP average was Obama +11.6, he won +28.9

In 2016, the final RCP average was Clinton +27.5, she won +47.5

Smarter people than me have suggested that African American voters are more likely to list themselves as undecided, but then show up for the “obvious” choice.

For example, in the latest PPP poll (Biden +15), 12% of the African American vote is undecided, as opposed to 9% white voters. In the likely voter model of the NBC News/Marist Poll (Biden +4), it is 12% vs. 5%.

I think my two outcomes make the most sense because Biden still has a high favorable rating with African American voters and the undecided could break to him. Option 2 just recognizes the money and groundwork Steyer put in with the African American community in South Carolina and Bernie’s surge. They could both eat into the vote and have a three way split at the top.

Or my basic analysis could be dead wrong.

Is this video for real? Biden says he’s running for Senate and says that if you don’t like what you see with him to vote for the other Biden.

I had such high hopes for Joe. They have been dashed. Feels like Bernie or bust at this point.

This is on top of him saying this week he helped negotiate the Paris Climate Agreement with Deng Xiaoping and claimed that he was arrested in Soweto trying to get to see Mandela on "Robbens" Island (Soweto is 900 miles away from Robben Island).
