The messaging is really hard but practical if you get it out in public and not at contentious town hall meetings.

2200 people have died in PA since Kenney said he wants a safe injection site in Philly.

Yes, the solution is for the politicians to have some fucking conviction and do it anyway. Nikil Saval is the only person running for office that unequivocally supported it. The rest are all upset about process.

No process would've satisfied the opponents. Let's be real here.

Let's all go get drunk and talk about how bad druggies are and how we don't care about them! MY EYES ROLL OUT OF MY HEAD

This is a hard item. I benefited both from stock programs and ESOPs. The general plan was make a little less, get it backed with some form of stock option, and win. I won some, and lost some, but it was a risk reward.

On the losing side I lost a job because my "business unit" did not perform for two quarters due the disruption in the general market. For the share holders, and how I found out I was going down with the ship, it was announced that the focus was shifting away from my area of work. Since Since my job was converting R&D into product/operations the claw back was just me. I leveraged the rest of the organization, but the shuttering of the business unit was one FTE and generally 1 FTE annually of matrix staff. To the market this was presented as a major realignment. The end result was that this fledgling or boutique business area accounted for between 8-18% of top line revenue while I was there which was then fortified (also, that equaled a revenue of 9 - 20 loaded rate resources over time which made it obscenely profitable). It was a good message for the market to cover lack of general growth, but ultimately that companies stock price has remained below what it averaged over the time I was there.

I completely agree with the 3Ps model as driving to success with the caveat that some type of cash infusion is generally what is necessary to move the needle to get a product to market, hire key/expert staff, expand infrastructure, etc. How you keep a lid on playing to stock holder value as the mantra is something that has to be managed, but it is a necessary evil to some extent.

There is no easy path to this.

Best reply I saw to the tweet about this plan - https://twitter.com/michaelrwolfe/statu ... 6925176832
@michaelrwolfe
“The bosses need to share prosperity with the workers!!”

“OK - let’s give them partial ownership of the company.”

“No, not like that.”

It also presents the same "Trump voters actively voting against their own economic interests" scenario for the liberal-heavy startup sector.
