Trump over the weekend retweeted several conservative personalities and stories attempting to connect the Republican senator (Romney) to the Ukrainian energy company Burisma and its former board member Hunter Biden

I missed this twist. The politico article is crazy.

The highly unusual move prompted one of the government’s key prosecutors to resign and another to withdraw from the case.

I admire their doing what's right but it's pathetically ineffective against a tyrant like Trump. Hopefully the Judge has the courage to throw the book at Stone and withstand the tweet storm and threats to follow.

He should then be pardoned. You're "throwing the book" who did nothing more than pretend he had a connection to Wikileaks to make himself look important.

The jury disagreed with you.

Overreacting to early returns is dumb, but I'm going to do it anyway

Warren and Biden should probably drop out

Bill Clinton only won 1 of the first 11 primaries so either of them can come back from this.

The sooner the choice becomes clear, the better. The very last thing we need is a contested convention.

It is early, but Biden isnt just not winning, hes getting crushed. HE IS A TERRIBLE CANDIDATE. I dont care if ia and NH aren't favorable. He needs to do better than a distant fourth if hes a front runner.

totally disagree. well, don't necessarily want a contested convention, but the best way to judge if someone is electable is to see if they can actually get people to vote for them. I'd be fine with that continuing on for a few months. In 2016 Trump didn't clinch until May, while the DNC had a presumptive nominee all along. I'm not sure why we should assume one is better than the other.

Klobuchar seemed to be cut off from the pack last summer and devoured because she was mean to her staff. There may be a little more to her.

Much like 2016, that doesn’t leave enough time for the party to unite behind the candidate.
