I was thinking about my interview with the Phillies in 1991. They wanted to write a computer-based ticketing system. Their pitch was 12 thousand a year. Minimum wage at that point was $3.80 an hour, but even the most generous we were talking six bucks an hour for that job. I was making $7.15/hr working at a country club. Easy pass.

Not that I'm superstitious but I hope everyone avoids poultry today. Hate to see my pals DOOMED to a year of moving backwards.

Can't go wrong with pork and sauerkraut to ensure a year of forward movement.

I prefer either a diet high in fiber or burritos for my forward movements.

Probably don't even carry an umbrella if the cat eats grass in the morning.

Might even exit someone's home thru a different door from which they entered!

Saw a deer in my neighbor's yard across the street. Wonder if it's an omen.

i just got hit by a deer (well, my car did). Was pretty freaky. Driving along and I sensed something in my peripheral vision to my left. All of a sudden BLAM and I see a deer's face pressed against my side window. She got up, limped a bit, then continued on her way. Despite the very loud thud, only a small dent in my driver's door panel.

I wonder if that was Paul's omen playing out

Deer got into a house in the burbs and trashed the place. The Christmas tree was morphed into some type of woodlands weapon by the beast. Presents, decorations, knickknacks, cookware, pictures, etc. All into a tornado before the police, and eventually some type of wildlife specialists returned the deer to the great outdoors.

DO YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT INTERACTION WITH DEER ON NEW YEAR'S DAY MEANS?
