"Adult children" is such an odd phrase

Get a bed in a box and then request a return. Chances are they tell you to keep it. You can also check out the local thrift stores. That's where the bed in a box mattresses go if they do get picked up. Good deals on them

On a related note, anybody have a Purple Mattress?

I hear what you are saying but getting a mattress from a thrift store sounds like not that great of an idea.

My coworker did it and it was basically new in box. You can physically inspect it for stains and it definitely won't have bed bugs.

if you're looking for a simple temporary solution there's some great air mattresses out there. add a memory foam topper and fitted sheet to keep it in place and it's pretty damn good. still have one for guests in my office and they love it, even after a week. hell, i spent about a few months on it and probably would still be using it if i could store stuff underneath it and the gf wouldn't mind.

tv's... tcl at walmart or amazon is a great budget tv for any size. once again, if this is a situation you don't see as permanent, i would recommend streaming to an ipad or laptop.

I know we have a tv buying thread, and I think we have one for mattresses.

Not sure how soon you need it Phred but I may have a nearly new queen mattress for you. I'll know by the end of the week.

Well, eventually I am probably going to need three so I'll take it regardless of the when. No rush but let me know.

Thanks!

You say "stained" like that isn't a selling point.

I ended up getting a previously owned Purple Hybrid mattress from a mattress store for 40% off which ended up being a little bit cheaper than the lowest end Purple Mattress that I was planning on buying.

Based on workforce experience I don’t think that that such an unusual phrase, I do however think it is sometimes incorrectly applied.

Feels great to be home.

Not sure how I feel that nothing about PA feels like home anymore.
