if you're looking for a simple temporary solution there's some great air mattresses out there. add a memory foam topper and fitted sheet to keep it in place and it's pretty damn good. still have one for guests in my office and they love it, even after a week. hell, i spent about a few months on it and probably would still be using it if i could store stuff underneath it and the gf wouldn't mind.

tv's... tcl at walmart or amazon is a great budget tv for any size. once again, if this is a situation you don't see as permanent, i would recommend streaming to an ipad or laptop.
