I wonder whether the Dems will launch multiple impeachment inquiries leading up to the election next year. The Benghazi strategy worked for the GOP heading into 2016, perhaps it could for the Dems as well in 2020.

I dunno. Sounds like they're ready to send this to judiciary. I could see them referring Pompeo and Perry to Foreign Relations and Energy though.

The only saving grace from this is that every regime, leader, politician, whomever... In the era of audio and video ... That have using yelling, screaming, berating witnesses have ultimately resulting in their own demise. People eventually see through the charade.

I think the biggest take away today is how Russia is influencing everything from Republican Ukraine foreign policy all the way to democrat anti fracking and natural gas.

While the House vote may be on straight party lines....I think some R Senators will vote to convinct though perhaps not enough to remove (Romney, Collins, Murkowski...maybe Sasse, Gardner and Alexander). So it will be a clear majority against but not enough to remove.

It would do both parties a service, for those who really the total scope of Russia meddling, to have another hearing with Hill .... Sans people who will just yell. She's obviously a treasure trove of infob whom will pull no shit.

After Hill's testimony today, it's obvious the Russians are dumping money every. It's really scary.

He seems ready to do so if a court tells him to. I have no idea what the legal arguments are on both sides.

Hmmm. In addition to the substantive Ukraine thing (Attempted Bribery/Extortion) I think they will add counts for Obstruction of Congress, Obstruction of Justice and Witness Intimidation but I think it will all be related to the Ukraine thing. Just my take.

Do you think they will add counts for the Mueller Report or Emoluments? I'm guessing they stick to the Ukraine matter and its procedural sphere.

I don't think any Mueller stuff will play in really. I'm more talking more about waiting until you have a full corruption case with his tax returns, charity stealing, etc.

I’d guess tax/charity stuff will be of even less consequence to Republican Senators and their constituents. If asking another country to interfere in our election isn’t enough to sway them, I doubt the fact that Trump is a tax and charity cheat will be. Pretty sure that stuff, along with so much else about his lowlife tendencies, is already baked in.
