Time for a chair and a whip.

there were 3 supervisors seats available in the township. All D's currently. I D running to re-up with 2 new D's.

A group of two former Ds who switched to R, along with a native R, ran on the R ticket, but also "Adopted" (for lack of a better term) a community activist who ran as an I. So 4 people on their "team" for 3 seats.

Well, the Ds complained that the 4th guy was running simply as a 'spoiler' to take votes from the Ds. It wasn't true at all, but I didn't realize how ridiculous the statement was until I saw all the results. He was a spoiler, all right- but possibly cost one of his team a seat.

There was a 468 vote spread between the highest R and the lowest D. The I guy was well in the cellar, but he had almost 1500 votes. There's no way of telling the matrix of different voters, but I foresee a scenario where lots of people picked 3 of the 4 of that "team". So maybe enough people left off the highest R vote getter in favor of the I. I myself did that- the D's have done a lot of shady things, and are aligned with the crappy montco democrats, a centrist org who have more in common with the conservatives than progressives . The top R vote getter was a female, and I'm sure there were some misogynists who voted for the three males on the "team".

So in the end, the strategy backfired in a big way. I really wish there was a way to find the permutations of the votes.

Dems rolling in VA is pretty monumental. A few entrenched incumbents held on, but Dem taking a minority at every level including local offices. Juli Briskman, the woman who flipped off Trump, before he started chopping to the course, is now the supervisor where Trump National is. That's pretty delicious.

Anyone know any bad ass women in southern Delco or SE Chester County who wants to run for state senate? Have to beat a big labor guy in the primary but think it's possible.

Florida's former attorney general Pam Bondi is joining the Trump impeachment defense team as a temporary government employee. I don't remember what particular difficulty Ms Bondi has, but I remember there was something. This by the way is the impeachment team that doesn't exist because he's got this.

If memory serves, her "difficulty" is that, as Attorney General, she dismissed a bunch of cases against Trump University after receiving a donation from Trump to her re-election campaign.

The donation was from the Trump Foundation to a super pac that backed her. The donation was illegal but I don't think anyone got in trouble for it.

I know someone who works for him and he's a grifter. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried this in New Hampshire, too.

cant find the exact numbers but looks like chester county had about 30k more voters this election than in 2017 (the last municipal) which is about an 8-9 percent increase.

That’s awesome. In our precinct we had 46% turnout this year up from 39% in 2017.

the new election website is actually pretty hard to click around. not a fan. preferred just the basic lists that you could ctrl+f and search that way.

Deb Ryan the DA candidate won by 9 points (She was the largest margin I believe). HRC won the county by more than that and still lost PA. Almost feels like the Dem nominee is going to need to win the Philly burbs by like 11 points. I do not know if that is possible.

Ds really need to make gains in Lancaster and Berks and Dauphin to start making up for the falling off of SWPA it feels
