If he's removed, I figure Pence pardons him and his family for all alleged federal crimes a'la Nixon (though NYState and others could still pursue).
If he's defeated the new Justice Department could prosecute but I can definitely see them wanting to let it go and move on. Though I would like to see the guy locked up.
This isn't just Nixon level crimes, though. The collusion with foreign governments is probably as extensive as Seth Abramson has reported. That plus the decades of money laundering. You can't let this guy walk.
