He is definitely panicking. He knows that he is caught and that he is losing everybody but his base. Now comes the really fucked up and scary stuff (like sacrificing the Kurds in an effort to distract).

Someone has a sad over Fox News.

From the day I announced I was running for President, I have NEVER had a good @FoxNews Poll. Whoever their Pollster is, they suck. But
@FoxNews is also much different than it used to be in the good old days. With people like Andrew Napolitano, who wanted to be a Supreme....

...Court Justice & I turned him down (he’s been terrible ever since), Shep Smith, @donnabrazile (who gave Crooked Hillary the debate questions & got fired from @CNN), & others, @FoxNews doesn’t deliver for US anymore. It is so different than it used to be. Oh well, I’m President!

Thank you to @OANN One America News for your fair coverage and brilliant reporting. It is appreciated by many people trying so hard to find a new, consistent and powerful VOICE! See you tonight at the Big Rally in Minneapolis.

President directing his followers to his new propaganda network. Incredible.
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

Am I following correctly? Is Trump saying that his abandonment of the Kurds is excused because they weren't (according to him) on Omaha beach with us?

These people are very stupid, so I guess it's possible stabbing the Kurds in the back was intended as a distraction from the Ukrainian thing, but I'm pretty sure that Trump allowing the Turks to attack the Kurds has done substantial damage to the administration.

Trump just needs to hold on until June, really. Once these partisan as hell SCOTUS decisions start coming down, Rs will be fully back on board.

If anything I think it has swayed a handful of R Senators that there would be upside to his removal. At least I hope that.

Jennifer Griffin (National Security Correspondent for Fox News)
@JenGriffinFNC
(1) I just spoke to a distraught US Special Forces soldier who is among the 1000 or so US troops in Syria tonight who is serving alongside the SDF Kurdish forces. It was one of the hardest phone calls I have ever taken.

"I am ashamed for the first time in my career."
6:02 PM · Oct 9, 2019·Twitter Web App

(2) This veteran US Special forces soldier has trained indigenous forces on multiple continents. He is on the frontlines tonight and said they are witnessing Turkish atrocities. "Turkey is not doing what it agreed to. It's horrible," this military source on the ground told me.

(3) "We met every single security agreement. The Kurds met every single agreement. There was NO threat to the Turks - NONE - from this side of the border." "This is insanity," the concerned US service member told me. ""I don't know what they call atrocities but they are happening."

(4) This American soldier told me the Kurds have not left their positions guarding the ISIS prisoners. In fact "they prevented a prison break last night without us."
"They are not abandoning our side (yet)." The Kurds are "pleading for our support." We are doing "nothing."

(5) Troops on the ground in Syria and their commanders were "surprised" by the decision Sunday night.
Of the President's decision: "He doesn't understand the problem. He doesn't understand the repercussions of this. Erdogan is an Islamist, not a level headed actor."

(6) Acc to this US soldier on the ground tonight in Syria: "The Kurds are as close to Western thinking in the Middle East as anyone. "It's a shame. It's horrible." "This is not helping the ISIS fight." Re: ISIS prisoners: "Many of them will be free in the coming days and weeks."

(7) This US Special Forces soldier wanted me to know: "The Kurds are sticking by us. No other partner I have ever dealt with would stand by us."
Disappointed in the decisions coming from their senior leaders.

What an utter disgrace this administration is.

I posted it unvarnished as I figured that the rickroll nature of today it might get churned. It is breathtakingly stupid. It is easy to ignore the stupidity with the human tragedy that has pressed forward in the absence of leadership, and born of the agreement.

So, can someone tell me why exactly we've green lighted genocide in Turkey?

Yeah, was thinking it was a good thing that France and Spain didn't have Trump's attitude or I would've driven on the other side of the road coming to work today.

Ben Franklin: Look, we could REALLY use some help back in the colonies.
King Louis XVI: Fuck that. Where were you guys during the Seven Years' War?

Sure. There is an unnamed official who was a witness to the call that said that we got rolled.

Replace any name you do not recognize in this Fox New piece with Biden and you get the Rudy conspiracy theory. Its still shocking to see how this game works where everything essentially originates in some past misdeed (a tweet for that syndrome). Some are not as transparent as Trump calling Sanford unfit because he committed adultery, but it is more or less exactly that pattern. As often the transgression is lesser or has never occurred.

If he and Trump are impeached... that would legit be crazy. I hadn't really assumed that Pence was at risk, but as news trickles out on his involvement, it's become a non-zero probability. Pelosi is third in line. (LOL)

That said, I'm guessing it's unlikely that Trump and Pence get simultaneously impeached. I don't know the law very well on this, but I'm guessing that Pence would be President, and then would pick a VP. That VP would become President if Pence had to go.

The chance that Trump and Pence are both impeached elevating Pelosi to the presidency is exactly zero.

Replacing the VP takes a vote of both Houses of Congress. I'm not sure who a Democratic House would approve of who Pence would appoint so they'd probably just sit there with a standoff with no VP until next election.
