Pretty embarrassing what hourly straw is being grasped by the GOP caucus and the Trump administration. The, "Trump can't call witnesses! It is not fair!!" one is particularly cringey. Try harder.

The world will think we are garbage based on our "leadership".

I think that you are correct but they have a funny way of showing it. They didn't want him on the ticket in 2016, either. They just go all in on whoever it is. Party over country.
