What's the most consecutive consonants you've ever seen in a name? Kid I went to college had the last name Blechschmidt, which has six, but I was just watching a YouTube video in which a guy named Leszczynski was featured. New record? Or do we count the Y as a vowel?

There are polish names out there that will crush those. I refer to a friend as 'Mr. would like to buy a vowel'.

Last weekend I was trying to get the kids to go outside and do something. So I filled up a kiddie pool we had and tried to get them to come out and play in it. They're 7 and almost 12 and took one look at it and were like yeah, no. So I was looking for something fun water based thing they could do.

I found an inflatable pool that is something between a kiddie pool and an above ground pool for $50 and they were in to that. One problem though is that our yard has a steady decline away from the house and it would need to be level. NBD I thought, I'll get a shovel and level some yard. Spent the rest of the day digging up a 16' circle in my backyard trying to level it. After hours of doing this, it was coming along ok, but not really getting there. So I spent a couple nights after work at it trying to level the ground, and as it turns out, the decline in my yard is a lot steeper than I initially thought. By Wednesday night I was pot committed to this idea but not getting anywhere, so I started looking into how to level this fucking ground. Sand. Ordered 3 tons of sand yesterday morning and it was delivered by the time I got home from work. Spent the evening wheelbarrowing sand from my driveway to the other side of the yard and smoothing and leveling it. So now I have a perfectly level 16 foot circle of compacted sand in my backyard and ~ a ton of sand in my driveway. Isn't it funny how a fleeting idea can turn into a fairly large and involved project without you intending to do it.

At least it's big enough for me to sit in it and drink beers if they don't go in it.

Great story about how a janitor created the Flaming Hot Cheetos line. Excellent story of perseverance, tenacity, and grit.

Specifcally for what? The beach is nice, the town is quaint with a number of solid restaurants. There's a pedestrian mall that is better than you'd expect. You can stay in a nice bed and breakfast. It's not cheap, but I think it's a decent value.
