honestly, anything short of an enthusiastic "wow, that's a great idea!" is not good. you said she was not into this before. i don't want to jump to any conclusions, but being a victim of emotional abuse by a partner, i educated myself as to better understanding signs of control and abuse. trust me i've done some crazy ass shit, but i've never done anything with any intent of hurting someone. and there have been times unintentionally i have, but was made aware to apologize and correct that behavior. being this far into a relationship that obviously has very strong ties with children, family and finances and bringing this up, i find very questionable.
