First, it REALLY (for some odd reason) grates my nerves the way he uses "do" to describe things. You don't "do" a meeting, you "have" a meeting. You don't "do" infrastructure", you "discuss" infrastructure or you "plan" infrastructure. Second, literally nobody outside of Crazy World would agree that Trump is the most transparent president probably in the history of this country. I rhetorically asked this before but how do people keep from just laughing in his face when he spouts this bull shit?

Per person familiar with what happened in the room before this Rose Garden presser: POTUS did not sit down or shake anyone's hand. He told Dems that "once your investigation is done – we can talk about these things." And then he left the room before anyone else could speak.

Trump says he walked into room with Pelosi and Schumer and told them he wanted to do infrastructure but that he won't work with them unless they "get these phony investigations over with." And now he's in the Rose Garden for a presser.

I think he knows he's got an uphill battle in the reelect and thinks the Democrats opening impeachment proceedings will help him. But I'd imagine the only way they would help is if the Democrats look like they're overzealous while Trump is being reasonable, so they're unfairly targeting him in the eyes of swing voters. The way he's reacting to oversight subpoenas (categorically refusing cooperation rather than assessing on a case by case basis) and now to pretty tame language from Pelosi, he's ceding that ground voluntarily.

I think I will reach out to the 'need to impeach' guy petitioning for a job (pay me $6M in advance, one time fee + travel & production costs) to become a jester and just mock failures at the legislative level. I'd need creative control since there is more then enough to mock on every side. It would just be full on snark, and a traveling circus.

Eh, I really don't think it is working considering his disapproval ratings have slowly but steadily been increasing this month.

He really fucked himself by imposing those 25% tariffs on China. That tweet was the beginning of his end.
