Regarding 'Bama, it also sounded like some forms of birth control would be deemed illegal. That is arm chair lawyering based of my interpretation of what was said on a national news broadcast (not from commentary, just ingesting the reporting). I'd wondered, aside from putting women's health at risk, if it will further crater all Alabamians medical care over concerns of doctors accidently violating the law and facing prison time. Simple math there: Go to Alabama and put yourself at risk for not a lot of scratch, or go to Rhode Island and pay off those loans without a lot of worry about going to the big house over a mishap.

Indeed but it does allow these exceptions:
1. "To avoid a serious health risk to the unborn child's mother"
2. For ectopic pregnancy
3. If the "unborn child has a lethal anomaly"
1. So the "all life is sacred" argument that pro-lifers like to peddle isn't, apparently, 100% true. There is a hierarchy after all.
2. Pregnancy HAS to be terminated in this case so...
3. Doesn't this child have a right to life also?

Welp, there is the test case for overturning Roe v. Wade. Wonder whether the SC will take it or not.
