That feels about right, though I see Pete and Beto as Flavor of the Month types. The first four you listed were who I had in mind (and probably in the order too).

Feels like if Pete were straight he’d have a real shot. No way this country would ever elect a gay man as president

Who besides Lebron? I don't see anyone else even making it to the primary.

tbf i think it is partially why he is standing out in a sense. it isnt people like our parents who are buzzing about him. its the internet.

i know beto hasnt polled super great but still think his large, large crowds mean something.

I think this is correct, although may have Harris and Warren on the same tier as Bernie. My sense is that a big reason why Biden might fall apart is if he has a senior moment or two on a big stage, and Bernie is particularly poorly suited to capitalize on that.

And might have Klobuchar after Booker in the "shit isn't going anywhere right now, but can see how it might work if the ball bounces the right way".

Right. It's not like a ton of straight mayors of small cities have a great track record of getting elected president.

yeah, but he has major problems with a large portion of the democratic base, unfortunately. A scant majority (51%) of black americans approve of gay marriage. If you parse that to black democrats it may be like 55-60%.

https://www.pewforum.org/fact-sheet/cha ... -marriage/

Obviously not a 1:1 correlation between view on that and 'would I vote for him?' but it's not ideal for him. His buzz is largely from white affluent internet people.

What about me? I announced a week ago.

I'll put the "fun" back in fundraising and the "can" back in canvassing and the "oral" back in electoral.

Apparently James Buchanan.

I would have bet on Franklin Pierce, but I don't think anyone would want to claim him.

I’d like to see Biden/Warren ticket. I think that’s a slam dunk winner.
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

Because of things like the Quinnipiac poll in PA that has Biden up 53-42 vs Trump.

PA is a very good state for him and you may not get the exact same results in non-neighbor states, but you get the idea.

Look - we need to win this election and whether I like it or not - an older white man is likely more electable in key states than a woman or a woman of color.

I don’t love Biden but he’s a solid candidate who can likely win in states like Ohio Michigan and Wisconsin.

I slowly usher all the flies out of the house, room by room, finishing by opening the front door with the porch light on. The flies all go outside. It's humane. Even though I #$!&@ hate flies and they carry disease, I still treat that life with respect. I could use a fly swatter and it would take less time, but I try to let even the least useful things live. If I saw Trump unconscious and drowning in a puddle, I wouldn't even bother to roll him over. Sadly, that is the honest truth.

Tier Two

But it's VERY early, who had Obama near the top in May of 2007?
