GF lives two blocks up from the pizza place Biden was at a bit ago. So funny. El Diablo, JTKs fave, right across the street.

Weld is going chipper, shredder on Trump. Delightful, but it is completely out of step with the GOP of today. If you think of Obama/Biden as old school and out of step to the DNC, Weld looks like someone from a different planet to the GOP. Not only is he way, way far away Trump, he is hardly close to the old guard republicans. Heck, he is probably closer to Obama then anyone in the mainstream GOP aside from Romney.

Feel like the pundits sometime forget the fact that every 2016 Trump voter you can turn into a 2020 Democrat voter (mainly white working class non-college) is worth two new D votes. We can debate how big that pool of voters, but whatever it is, double its impact.

Although it’s irritatung that Biden botched the Anita Hill apology (wtf), I’d be shocked if he doesn’t win through some rando combination of white working class, African-Americans, centrists, and old people. Otherwise known as people who actually vote. Don’t be fooled by politics twitter. What is not fake is a self-selected unrepresentative sliver of the electorate

Without commenting on who I think should win or would be best, I will say I take the field against Biden.

Agreed. “Shocked” was probably overstating it in the sense that I wouldn’t buy it at -105. I am rooting for Kamala but I think she has no shot

I think it’s more important to get people who will vote down-ticket D to the polls. I'd prefer if the disaffected Republican voters stay home rather than come out to vote D for the president and R for everything else. An uninspiring candidate on the left probably hurts down-ticket races in blue states and that’s a pretty big problem.

Maybe more Comcast execs. Nothing says man of the people like being hosted by one of the more anti-consumer companies out there.

I kinda get it, but you can’t win without people like David Cohen. We need rich people to basically vote against their own self-interests. Can’t make them the enemy

I don’t disagree, but I think the messaging/symbolism is pretty poor if you’re trying to appeal to the average person.

I would submit to you that the average person gives zero shits about this. Maybe the average person on Twitter does. But absolutely not the average voter.
