While it is difficult to maintain the level of outrage and incredulity the Trump administration demands, one thing that has flown under the radar is the nomination of Stephen Moore to the Federal Reserve. I really don't care much about his tax evasion. What does bother me a lot is that he's completely unqualified by any reasonable metric.

Most recently, he called for reducing the Fed's interest rate by half a percent. This, it seems, would be a bad idea. At least almost every economist thinks so.

Trump called for the public release of the Mueller Report. That's a bold move, Cotton.

He read the Cliff notes. Barr put his report under a yellow and black striped cover.

He had Hannity read him Barr's letter.

It’s all cynical theater. He’ll just claim his lawyers won’t allow it. Same routine as with his tax returns.

Trump overrules DeVos on Special Olympics. Essentially says she’s crazy for not only pulling the funding but then defending doing so.
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

I missed a meeting, what will his lawyers not allow? Him to read? I imagine the release of the report.

Correct, but I'm just speculating why it's so easy for him to say the report should be released.

Put another way, our president is a coward and is adept at putting himself (and others) in a position where no blame/responsibility for a decision/position ever falls to him. I'd release my tax returns yesterday but they are under audit. I would absolutely sit down with Mueller but my lawyers won't let me. Yeah, I'd hand deliver a copy of the Mueller report to every American that wants one but it is up to Barr.

Regardless of what the four-page summary[*] stated, I am 100% convinced that Mueller found evidence of conspiring with the Russians but no smoking gun (no smocking gun either); not enough to "get a conviction". The summary letter states, "The investigation did not establish...". Maybe I am guilty of reading into it what I want to reach into it but I think that language is different than saying that the investigation "found no evidence" of conspiring. That is why Barr, the WH, Trump's lawyers, etc. will want to hide behind whatever law/regulation they can to keep the full report locked down.

100% speculation on my part but I think that there is already somebody prepared to leak the full report but is giving the powers that be time to do the right thing. I think if it doesn't happen in the next month or two, they'll leak it.

[*] the actual summary of conclusions was more like six paragraphs; of a 300+ page report.

"We're gonna have a news conference at Mar-a-Lago I think at 4 o'clock, about Linda. She's great," the president told reporters.

...

It's unclear exactly what the president means by a press conference, and how many journalists will be able to be present. Reporters generally aren't allowed on Mar-a-Lago grounds, and the designated reporting team called the "pool" isn't set up on Mar-a-Lago grounds.

Good thing he was able to get from his rally to FL. He needs some R&R since he has not been there in a week.

Funny stuff from the rally, like just making stuff up about his support of the Great Lakes

Here's a sniff:

Thursday he said wrote:I support the Great Lakes. Always have. They are beautiful. They are big, very deep. Record deepness, right? And I am going to get, in honor of my friends, full funding of $300 million for the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, which you have been trying to get for over 30 years. So, we will get it done.

Anytime before Thursday he did wrote:Since entering the White House, all the yearly budgets that Trump has presented to Congress suggested cuts to the program, but Congress has overruled Trump by giving the program $300 million each year. Over the past two years, Trump proposed a 90 percent cut to the program. During his first year in office, Trump called for eliminating the program.

TRUMP: "If Hillary got in... you'd be doing wind. Windmills. Weeeee. And if it doesn't blow, you can forget about television for that night. 'Darling, I want to watch television.' 'I'm sorry! The wind isn't blowing.' I know a lot about wind."

Why did I think the report is 600 pages? I've repeatedly heard 400 today. Maybe there is 200 in the dumpster already.
