i run out of my two or three free articles a month pretty quickly. most of the time it is bc i click a link on twitter bc i think oh this look interesting then end up not reading the article anyway.

YOU WOULDN'T DOWNLOAD A CAR , WOULD YOU??!!!

Actually, I know, it's annoying as hell. I have this one paper that sends news stories to my email inbox, and then I'm not allowed to read the links.

Yeah, I think we really need to change the attitudes about paying for information. One reason our media are so terrible is people are not willing to pay for it.

It might be nice if there were something like aggregator services that sort of worked like cable tv, where you pay a monthly subscription and get access to a bunch of stuff.

But if you insist on being a cheapskate, you could always visit your local library and use the computers there. They probably subscribe to lots of stuff.

WaPo is only $6 per month with Amazon Prime if you have sold part of your soul to our lord Bezos.

Think the inquirer is like 14 a month?

I'd pay 6 if I got some local papers, inquirer times and post or something.

As someone who enjoys self indulgent instrumental solos, I can honestly say I’ve never heard a bass guitar solo (or God forbid an acoustic upright bass solo, which is about 1000 times less listenable) that I didn’t want to skip over as quickly as possible.

Speaking of which, just got home from my new gym, since my old one closed down without notice. A Planet Fitness, so it's nice it's open 24/7. However, while at my old one I might hop across the street afterward to the 7-11 and grab a Gatorade, coming home from this one I pass a minimum of six bar/restaurants in the mile and a half drive home. I'm not sure how well this is going to work out in the long run.
