Anyone else following the gilets jaune stuff? Wishing we would do stuff like that here for our economic protests.

POTUS tweeting about boarder security. About time he comes after lazy liberals like Pacino who haven’t built a wall around BSG to keep the riff raff out.
Quick Google shows that GoGo is wrong with regards to the Kiwi and the Banana.

I kinda agree that AirBnB should provide better security/background checks into possible boardees.

Need to go strong on that greatest hit to rile up the base, and justify a closure for Christmas. Miller was out there spinning this hit all day yesterday. Distract, even if the strategy will have a horrible outcome. I assume that the gambit is pressure to deal, but I it is plenty likely that it fails and completely backfires.

So about those corporate tax cuts ending up in the pockets of the lower and middle classes:

Corporate America celebrated the first full year under the new tax law by rolling out a record-setting $1 trillion of stock buybacks. US companies, led by Lowe's (LOW) and AbbVie (ABBV), rewarded shareholders by unveiling $34.4 billion in buybacks last week, according to TrimTabs Investment Research. That lifted repurchase announcements above $1 trillion for the first time ever, TrimTabs said, exceeding the prior record of $781 billion set in 2015.

In other words, the rich got richer. Shocking!

Every entity that Trump ran or is running is now being investigated.

I wonder when he decides to cut a deal.

Gonna have to be the deal to end all deals, since there are so many different prosecuting bodies involved. It feels like attempting to pull off a 5-team trade.

Kills me that we're killing people in Somalia and rather than try to explain why this is so cable news is still 24/7 Trump minutiae.

I'm one of the government employees that will be out of work Friday night if the shutdown happens, but my gut feeling is that we are getting a two week extension or Trump caves...

There is no way the Dems are voting for the wall, and it's only getting worse for Trump when the new House takes over in January...

Screw you ThreeCount. You blood sucker. Stealing my moneys.

Honestly, you included, why would you choose this life? The benefits are no longer great, or even good, for you sacrifice. There is no pension. You no longer get to participate in medical ( gawd I hope yo are old enough to be grand fathered) into retirement. The student loan companies steer you to a better deal (for them), meaning you debt is not cancelled. So why? We need you, but so what since you are vilified!?!

I say all that with compassion and respect. You deserve better. Your sacrifice has to come with some benefit. The treatment, nay denigration, that has been vogue for at least ten years is shameful. I apologize on behalf of the greater population for not honoring your service better.

Please don't talk good people out of working in the public sector. We need more threecounts working there, not less.

Feds still get pensions and still are able to keep their health insurance into retirement, even as their primary.

Of course, the GOP would love t9 change that!

The TSP is a 401k for the most part. Not a pension.

The pension is indeed dead for most everyone still in service. TSP has performed well with very reasonable fees, and they have taught people how to wisely invest.

I've been told that the health care has gotten harder to get/the deal is not as good as it was.

WRT ThreeCount, I did not know he was an IRS employee otherwise I would have chosen different words. I was simply trying to invoke the general training that the public has received to mistrust and hate Feds. That has been truly shameful.

Can you imagine working for the IRS, introducing yourself at parties, and always getting the same few comments back? That is probably the worst part of the job. It's like going through life with a name like Michael Bolton, or Isis. The repetitiveness would get to me.
