A little about the recent hire government employee who now runs the Justice Dept and his past life as a grifter. Amazingly I saw yesterday that shamed past politico Sam Clovis is his pal who advised him to get on TV to get Trumps eye by defending him on a prominent media outlet that was not terribly Fox friendly (CNN).

Time for Dems to follow suit in places like MD, MA, and VT.

We need to start playing hardball.

Looks like Sinema might be doing this.

Nelson's path a little tougher but definitely possible. Man, what a narrative shift it will be if it ends GOP +1 in the Senate and dems pick up 37ish in the house.

He's on a helicopter to air Force 1 to go to France.

Also he got plenty of trash out before he left the white house. Check his "press conference" stuff from just a bit ago.

I wonder if this in response to Michelle's tweet that said she will never forgive Trump for putting her family's safety at risk by promoting/leading the birther movement.

Phred - it was. Said he has no idea what she said, but Obama...

I walked by the TV and he is still talking. Its costing us money to use that chopper as a prop. I have no idea what he is talking about, but he is going to keep the fact checkers busy and the hype machine rolling while he flies. It will also trip up actual important reporting.

Was just going to post about this. Interesting that he used the exact same language.

Interesting twist is apparently he answered something about Whitaker with the 'barely know the guy', and 'acting' language while relying on his (flawed) past as he is highly respected as why it was a good move to stabilize things in the short term. That seems all well planned to distance himself from the guy.

He was asked a question about what she wrote in her book. The reporter used Obama's language in the question

Thanks.

I'll never forgive Trump for putting my family's safety at risk with his inflammatory rhetoric and anti-Semitic lean.

Couldn't appointing a person known to be anti-Mueller investigation be construed as purposefully impeding the investigation and as such obstructing justice in and of itself. As I type this, now I am wondering if that is why the administration is saying that they had no idea Whitaker held those stances regarding Mueller (liars).

If these Florida votes aren't counted without any hard evidence that they're fraudulent it may be time to give up on this whole democracy thing.

Broward county elections supervisor was appointed by JEB! btw.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

I may actually believe that Trump "barely knows the guy" but what he does know about him is why he was named the acting AG, i.e. the stated plan to cut Mueller's funding, the belief that the investigation is illegal and Mueller has regularly overstepped his boundries, etc. Lots of people are highly respected but Whitaker was chosen for a reason. Putting all that aside, maybe the world's greatest CEO should be called out for giving such an important job to somebody he barely knows.
