I saw someone complain that gerrymandering was the reason why a particular election was lost and the race in question was a U.S. Senate race. Am I missing something? Unless their argument related to gerrymandering in 1787.

I'd imagine the play here is to fire Sessions, have the acting AG take back authority of the Russia investigation, and fire Mueller as quickly as possible before the new Congress takes their seats, correct?

These people deserve it all. Sessions took this spot, was mocked and degraded for two years, and gets fired. Good.

@AaronBlake
Matt Whitaker last year:
"So I could see a scenario where Jeff Sessions is replaced with a recess appointment, and that attorney general doesn’t fire Bob Mueller, but he just reduces his budget to so low that his investigation grinds to almost a halt.”

Feel like Mueller should have enough at this point, didn't it start in May of 2017?

You'd think he's been preparing for this scenario for awhile.

What's the big deal if he is fired? The House would rehire him and the investigation would resume in January.

Rosenstein is no longer in charge of the investigation; he stepped aside. He won't be the one to approve stuff. Gulp

I assume that if he is fired and the new guy gets control of the investigation then he would then show everything to Trump. It seems like a bad idea to let the target of an investigation have all of the information regarding the investigation.

Yeah he is actually pretty great at it. He has been President for almost 2 years and pretty much does whatever he wants.

Where is this being reported?

I guess "expects" was the wrong word. But close enough.

https://www.politico.com/story/2018/11/ ... ign-968942

Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., who served as a key campaign surrogate for Republican candidates, has told friends in recent weeks that he believes he could be indicted, according to one of those people.

Innocent people do not believe that they could be indicted.
