Someone should stop this. He doesn't even understand simple questions about government.

Reporter: Lil Jon said you called him “Uncle Tom.”

Trump: I don’t know who Little John is.

Reporter: He was on “The Apprentice” with you.

Another thing House Dems should do is put together an infrastructure bill. Generally--actually do the few good things Repubs promised.

I don't get the Dem hate for Nancy Pelosi either. Yes, new blood is important, and Nancy isn't that. But the Speaker of the House is a terminal position--you don't go anywhere from there. I get the argument she hurts at the ballot box, but I don't entirely buy it. She is an outstanding political operator however, and can get shit done in the House.

And let's stop with the Biden shit--he's run for President twice, and gotten creamed both times. He's a terrible candidate. :dh: It would be like the Republicans seeing Jeb Bush as their savior.

This was before he was attached to the biggest Democratic name since JFK.

I was kidding when I ask if anyone wanted to bet on it going to 2. It went 90 minutes, which was like 60-70 minutes too long. On the upside it is good that he finally had an actual press conference. He wants to claim yelling whatever he wants at reporters over the chopper blades is access, but this was actual access to his thinking.

FWIW, it is a little hilarious that he has dispensed with Mia Love who is listed to close to call (thx Jake Tapper for that tidbit).

And that worked out well for Al Gore.

Won the popular vote and lost the election by a supreme court decision and 700 votes. And he's not nearly as charismatic as Biden is now.

I don't want him as the candidate for lots of reasons but I think he'd win.

They keep remaking that movie. It was bad the first run, but again and again with the lack of imagination.

FL lifting the ban on felons voting just assures a majority of their elected official can continue to vote themselves.

Al Gore pointedly did not use Bill Clinton in his campaign, FWIW. Also Al Gore is, for my money, a significantly worse politician than Joe Biden.

I don't particularly think Joe Biden is the answer NOW, and I don't know that his path would have been cleared back in 16, but had he won the nomination do I think he would have outperformed Hillary? Yes I do.

But as long as we are playing the what-if game, the better play out for Democrats, in the event, would have been a Hillary win for the nomination in 08 - so she could be out of the way, whoever the Dem was was going to win in 08 - leaving Barack Obama free to run in 16. A first run for Barack Obama would have destroyed Donald Trump.

The next sequel will be even bigger and more stupid

Biden is also helpful for the stupid white guy vote. That was basically his role as Obama's VP. One thing Democrats generally don't do well is embracing the fact that a high percentage of the electorate is very stupid.
