Election week: Blue wave or blue balls? (Politics)

Here are my TAKES

1. Taking the house is good
a. Taking it by 9.2% is very good

2. Tea leaves into 2020 are very hard because so much can happen in the
a. economy
b. mueller investigation
c. house probes
That said, run a charismatic dude at the top of the ticket, and dems probably win.

3. No matter what happens in 2020, taking the Senate back will likely be impossible. The Senate will continue to be a huge problem for democrats and not one that is easily solvable. I shudder to think about a 53-47 R Senate with a D house/presidency. Hello constitutional crisis.

4. Trumpism took a deeper hold yesterday and that is frightening.

Oh oops, forgot not all races are this year so nevermind that!

But Davis in the 6th is down 100 with 100% reporting.

Fwiw Carolyn committa was down heading into a recount two years ago for her GA seat in Chester county. She ended up winning by 25 votes.

Sorry I keep posting but keep finding fun numbers and victories.

Chester county had 2 Democrats representing them in Harrisburg. We will now have 9. The Republican party here has lost basically all it's power which has existed my whole life effectively.

Yeah and going back to Comitta, ekes out 2016 and ends up winning by 10 (last check) last night. Pretty astounding.

Her opponent basically had been campaigning for two years too and dumped so much money into signs it was laughable.

Signs don't vote, pal.

Calvin, thank you for coming out. One of the amazing things I have learned in this process, considering I am 40, is how truly internet friends can become real friends! Thanks to all on here - you were all wonderful.

Oh and if I could have had any one result last night outside of people I now know directly, noted motherfucker Scott Walker finally going down in defeat was it (sorry jersey). So in one important way every working person was a winner last night.

Anyone have a count on how many Obama-Trump districts the Dems won back?

Kim Davis, legendary KY homophobe, lost her county clerk re-election bid. Maybe this was mentioned, but its new(s) to me. Goodbye and good riddance.

Dan Meuser is now my representative. I have a member of my congregation who loves him, this particular member is a recovering drug addict who started a pretty big grassroots organization up here. I love the work his group is doing, but I cannot stand his politics.

I have now become aware that Meuser, who touts himself as a Cornell alumni, was in fact kicked out of college there because he was caught cheating. Also, the phrase “peace through power” that he used on his website is downright scary and Orwellian.

If nobody decent pops up as a candidate in two years, I might have to take him down myself. My congregant, who is also the Alex Jones type, has been led astray by this man who can look good but is a snake oil business man as far as I am concerned.

Also, he is hoping to use is connections to Meuser to get a presidential pardon for his felonies.
Together we will win this game against the evil Space Yankees! Eat Fresh!

@realDonaldTrump

If the Democrats think they are going to waste Taxpayer Money investigating us at the House level, then we will likewise be forced to consider investigating them for all of the leaks of Classified Information, and much else, at the Senate level. Two can play that game!

Winning Arizona Senate would eliviate some good consternation about 2020.

Apparently 500k votes left in Maricopa county
