Since there now is a letter from Kavanaugh planning beach week, I have to ask my elders, is there some archive for paper from the early eighties? I have no calendars, letters, or almost anything else of that ilk from my childhood.

I guess the hook I was trying to make was that this would not even be a point if the GOP/McConnell did not pioneer the court as pawn by deferring Merrick Garland. It would have come and gone that we would be seating Trump's first SCJ, Neil Gorsuch, in Fall 2018, and all eyes would turn to RBG with the Kavanaugh circus as a future event.

Garland was held for almost a year because there was an election coming.
