Every year or so I think back to the time an old employer asked me to me photoshop my department’s faces on super heroes bodies. I asked for photoshop to do it, mostly bc I wanted to have a licensed version of it. They said no, so I said I had to freelance it and Woody did it for a pretty penny and an iPod Nano.

My playing around with VCV Rack (a free modular synthesis virtualization program) has made me start watching musical theory videos in order to make my patches sound more like emergent melodies and less like random beep bloops. I'm quite pleased with how my latest one turned out.

My wife bought these things and keeps putting them in my lunch. They're called trios snack fulls, they are little plastic containers with 3 compartments and they have banana chips, dark chocolate chunks and.... cheese cubes. Like what they fuck am I supposed to do with this? The banana and chocolate taste good together but the cheese does not. What the fuck am I supposed to do with this?

I would not tell her she sucks at packing lunch. That was some bad advice. I'd toss the banana chips, eat the cheese first, have a bit of wine, then eat the chocolate.

I usually wind up eatign the chocolate and banana like mid morning and then the cheese at lunch.

Yeah, my wife started packing my lunch last week. I am too lazy to do it most days and we've got a pretty good cafeteria here so I was just getting lunch from there.

ahhh, the brilliance of making you park a half mile away. You're almost captive to the cafeteria unless you want to hike to either your car or maybe iron hill or harry's/that mart thingy.

Now this is the read comment. It's at least a 10 min walk to your car (so x2 since you have to walk back after lunch) and there isn't anything particularly close that you can drive to. There is Iron Hill and big fish then Timothy's and a Thai place a little further down by the planet fitness, but that's getting pretty far and you are up to like 15+ min walk each way.

We do have a Cosi right outside the front door, but that's more expensive than the cafeteria. Then there's the market place in the other direction, but everything there is $8.50 and up and it's all pretty meh.
