It sucks that Gillibrand had no opponent. I was so ready to vote against her.

If Kennedy retires tomorrow, that will be amazing

I do hope Thomas does if Kennedy does not, although sneakily Alito is only 2 years younger than Thomas. GWB should've picked someone younger (though hopefully his majority opinion in Janus is exquisite).

Trump: OMG so many Democrats lost tonight!!!!

I can't believe this is our life right now. I don't know what's worse, the fact that he might be this stupid or that he thinks Americans are. I'm embarrassed as an American. America has a stupidity problem, and that's how Republicans like it.

Very exciting that McConnell set it up to steal multiple seats with an assist from the Russians.

@realDonaldTrump

Wow! Big Trump Hater Congressman Joe Crowley, who many expected was going to take Nancy Pelosi’s place, just LOST his primary election. In other words, he’s out! That is a big one that nobody saw happening. Perhaps he should have been nicer, and more respectful, to his President!

I don't think a republican is going to win that district, moron.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — The total value of cash, jewelry, watches and handbags seized from properties linked to former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak in a money-laundering investigation amounted to at least $273 million, police said Wednesday, calling the haul the biggest in Malaysia's history.

The items comprised 12,000 pieces of jewelry, 567 handbags, 423 watches and 234 sunglasses, said commercial crime investigations chief Amar Singh. The jewelry includes 2,200 rings, 1,400 necklaces, 2,100 bracelets, 2,800 pair of earrings, 1,600 brooches and 14 tiaras, he said.

Finally a lead Republican is pushing back on Trump a little, albeit in regards to a disgusting immigration policy. Last week, President Trump waved the white flag and told House Republicans to stop wasting time trying to pass an Immigration bill since it would just die in the Senate anyway. One brave Republican leader said today the House Republicans should soldier on anyway, and that man was... Donald Trump.

HOUSE REPUBLICANS SHOULD PASS THE STRONG BUT FAIR IMMIGRATION BILL, KNOWN AS GOODLATTE II, IN THEIR AFTERNOON VOTE TODAY, EVEN THOUGH THE DEMS WON’T LET IT PASS IN THE SENATE. PASSAGE WILL SHOW THAT WE WANT STRONG BORDERS & SECURITY WHILE THE DEMS WANT OPEN BORDERS = CRIME. WIN!

Love that he all capped this tweet, really gets across the dotty old racist yelling at the Fox News program that most of his tweets were missing.

Goodlatte is the hard-line immigration as opposed to the the "compromise" bill (scare quotes because it's a compromise between the Republican factions and not across the aisle). It failed once, so that's why we're on round II.

what an utter POS
Jeff Sessions spoke Tuesday to a crowd at the conservative-leaning conservative Criminal Justice Legal Foundation, and accused critics of his “zero tolerance” immigration policy of hypocrisy.

“These same people live in gated communities, many of them, and are featured at events where you have to have an ID to even come in to hear em speak. They like a little security around themselves,” he said.

“If you try to scale the fence they’d be even too happy to have you arrested and separated from your children.”

Right, as if the Latina that beat Crowley is a big Donald Trump supporter. Again, it is amazing how adept Trump is at making EVERYTHING about him. Just some more of the humility and grace King Abdullah was talking about.

Janus, Alito, reversed. Not surprising, but sucks.
