I liked Men at Work. He has a couple others that I haven't read (and probably won't)

Will was the commencement speaker at my wife's college graduation. I was looking forward to it, but he was deadly boring.

PARIS (AP) — France's finance minister says European countries should push back harder against the Trump administration over the Iran nuclear deal and not act as "vassals" to the U.S.
But German Chancellor Angela Merkel says the U.S. withdrawal from the Iran accord isn't a reason to dump decades of trans-Atlantic ties altogether.

The back and forth Friday came as thousands of Iranians took to the streets in cities across the country to protest Trump's decision.

European governments are scrambling for ways to save billions of dollars in trade that could collapse because of U.S. President Donald Trump's decision this week to re-impose sanctions. Trump argued that the 2015 nuclear deal, which allowed for the lifting of sanctions, wasn't tough enough on Iran.

French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said on Europe-1 radio that Europe should not accept that the U.S. is the "world's economic policeman."

"Do we want to be vassals who obey decisions taken by the United States while clinging to the hem of their trousers?" Le Maire asked. "Or do we want to say we have our economic interests, we consider we will continue to do trade with Iran?"

Merkel took a more measured tone.

"This is a serious event, we have to say that, but it is not a reason to call into question the entire trans-Atlantic partnership," she said during an appearance Friday in the western German city of Muenster.

She acknowledged that it is uncertain "to what extent we can keep this (nuclear) agreement alive if a giant economic power doesn't join in."

Greg Vitali asked Molly Sheehan to get out of the race in PA5 this past Wednesday.

She said no and went public with it.

Har Har Har... Tubesteak Giuliani's law firm was looking for a reason to dump him since the campaign. They disliked 'on camera' Rudy as he freelanced the law, defended the 'grab her by the...' audio, etc. By flaunting his approach to client management, and making up/disregarding established law on TV lately put the move to oust him on steroids.

Not sure it was mentioned, but the idiot staffer, special assistant to the P Kelly Sadler, who dismissed McCain's opposition by mocking him saying "it's doesn't matter, he's dying anyway". Apparently she called Megan McCain, but was clumsy, and further offended. She is not interested in a public apology, yet. That said, Kelly Sadler is garbage.

Glad I did not no that Don had a rally last night. He went with a dictator move to talk about term limits in that he might need more then 2. He did not seem serious, more of a lead in to rabid fandom to stir up some attacks on the "fake news media".

I am sure with minimal effort I could find complaints about Obama spending time on the stump, but DJT is going out 2 or 3 times a month when not golfing or pimping his private clubs.

Roll Call has 1 Republican, and 10 Democrats on it's most endangered list. The methodology seems screwy to me as it looks like it is simply based on margin of victory from the general election.

Rudy says that the fake media is twisting his words... NDAs are standard fare for legal clients... so that would mean that even that is what he actually said, which it was not, is that he would routinely sign people to NDAs on behalf his clients without consulting/informing them... Marginally better?

I still remember the premise of the speech, which I actually thought was sort of interesting: on the difference between values and virtues, and encouraging people to court virtues, which are stable across time, and not worry so much about values, which are shifting from culture to culture and time to time.

Not sure I agree with it, but it was an interesting thought.

Today is Embassy day in Jerusalem, and there is massive protests/demonstrations in Gaza. So far Israeli troops have killed 25 and injured hundreds more.

one step closer to the rapture; evangelical Christians and their faux-concern for Israel is working!

the prison that is Gaza:
Some protesters moved to within about 150 meters (yards) of the border fence. A reporter saw two men who tried to advance further being shot in the legs by Israeli troops.

Clouds of black smoke from burning tires rose into the air. Earlier Monday, Israeli drones dropping incendiary material had pre-emptively set ablaze some of the tires collected in advance by activists.

Protesters have used the thick smoke as cover against Israeli snipers perched on high sand berms on the other side of the border. The army accuses Hamas of using the protests as cover to plan or carry out attacks.

Everyone go vote tomorrow.

Also I wish we had ranked choice voting or a primary runoff or something. So many of the PA-5 candidates are so similar and the district is so heavily Democratic that someone with probably 15% of the democratic primary vote is going to be guaranteed a house seat.

Bernie Sanders endorsed Rich Lazer in PA5.

the local Our Revolution groups endorsed Molly Sheehan in PA5.

I have no clue why Bernie did this

I didn't realize that these pieces of shit scheduled it the day before the Palestinians mourn the anniversary of the Nakba.

It's like they don't really want peace and are trying to provoke violent reactions by the Palestinians or something...
