The Libby issue is deeper then I understood. Bolton, Comey, 'overzealous' 'witch hunt' special prosecutors, etc. are all in play here. You can roll back to Bolton's pressure, and a shot at making Comey into a historically bad guy while flipping special counsels are needing to be reigned in. What a mess.

I would believe that Trump paid a housekeeper to have an abortion before I believe that he would let an illegitimate pregnancy come to term.

If she turned down payment then I would believe that he would bully, threaten, strong arm or otherwise mess up her and her family's life before I would believe that he would let an illegitimate pregnancy come to term.

Well, yeah, someone has his ear. That's pretty much how he works. Scooter wouldn't narc on Dick (still alive!) Cheney, so his martyrdom due to loyalty is cause celebre in some circles, even though such a moral paragon as GW Bush couldn't get past the fact that he was guilty as they come to pardon him. Pardoning Libby pushes all the right buttons for La Petit Orange, while gathering him friends in low places at a time when he needs all he can get.

I can't imagine he ever actually paid any attention to what had happened until very recently.

I thought the IG report sounded pretty bad for McCabe, reinforcing that he had a problem, as esoteric as that seems to the rest of us, which would affirm that no matter how unsavory his termination was within bounds. The president tweet it’s a total head scratcher given that.

Filing under weird, Rosenstein went with an MLK quote earlier, so the idea that he’s terminated what sort of line up with his thinking that he could not stop the trump train. I’m curious if I can come up with a single word I like that would describe this current Presidency..
