Golden Earing was a Dutch group. They had a lot of hits in Holland. I don't think we heard many or any of them.

Not-so-fun fact: they were playing at great adventure in the early 80's when that haunted castle fire broke out that killed a bunch of kids.

idk if this is anti progressive of me but i think it's not as bad for a guy because of the power disparity that still exists, in that exact situation, and at large.

Also fun is that they formed in 1961, and got their break in 1965, and Radar Love was actually release in 1973. Since they sort of morphed into a new wave type band with Twilight Zone in the early '80's, Radar love turned back up, and I would argue that most teens had no idea that it was not new, much less that the band was in the ballpark of 20-25 years their senior.

for some reason I thought they might have opened for the Beatles, but I found on wiki that "during 1973–74, when "Radar Love" was a hit, they had Kiss and Aerosmith as their opening act."

I like a lot of Aerosmith's older stuff up until Get a Grip.

I think it's still bad--it's non-consensual contact, and qualifies as sexual assault. If there is a gender difference though, it has something to do with Calvin probably never feared there was a chance these women would haul him off and rape and possibly kill him.
