crazy day yesterday. My mom watches my son on Mondays, so she was at my house when i got home after work yesterday. She started gathering her things to get going and all of a sudden sat down and said she had bad gas pains. She got up and went upstairs to go to the bathroom. About a minute later, she called down to call 911, so i ran up and she was face down in my daughter's bedroom in massive pain and making horrible noises and dry heaving. Called 911 and they were there quickly, got her in the ambulance and to the hospital. Luckily it was appendicitis, and she was able to have the surgery done laparascopically so she'll have a quick recovery. Major props to the paradedics and the cop on the scene who just made the whole atmosphere seem normal to my kids and kept them engaged

no man, she was lucky. oh, my car died at the emergency room too. the valet scoured the hospital for a jump box though and got me going. very happy with everyone in abington yesterday except for the guy walking with the gun

Outside the scenario, you have about the best day you could have given the situation. That alone is crazy. Glad for you that it all worked out well.

Glad to hear it worked out. Great to hear everyone was so helpful. I imagine there's a mix of fear and helplessness in that situation, so having a bunch of people doing things to actually help you is probably reassuring.
