Yeah. I got a little over half and then lost the will to endure. I don't get the paper on the reg, but I might make the Sunday edition a monthly thing or so. Got that bitch ass cryptoquote in like 2 minutes though.

Hard to believe the first mention of the 100 pushup program dates all the way back to 2008.

I didn't want to mention anything until I knew I was committed, but I've already completed Day 2 of Week 1.

yeah, DS9 is pretty incredible

that said, even if I like it TNG was the only thing my Dad and I really bonded over as a kid so it's kinda tough for anything to top that in my book.

One of my favorite dumb things is when a website is offering you something and begins the decline option with "No thanks"

it's even better when it's condescending, like "No thanks, I prefer paying full price for things"

I could use another 14 or so hours of sleep today.

How does the original series rank with these two? Should I bother giving the other series (Voyager, Enterprise) a shot or are they not worth the time?

Voyager is mostly kinda bad. None of the characters have interesting storylines other the 7 of 9 and they bled that dry pretty quickly. The Doctor has a bunch of good acting performances but his story arc is some stuff they rehashed from Data.

Never watched Enterprise so no opinion there.

DS9 was definitely a new direction for Star Trek--unlike the benevolent authoritarianism of the federation, you have real messy politics and the characters often confront dilemmas with no real good options. I think introducing the Ferengi (sp?) was a great idea for the show.

The Ferengi were introduced in TNG, but I do agree they played a great role in DS9.

We dog sat for our neighbors this weekend. Been trying to convince my family to get a dog, think this might have done it. This little dude was so well behaved and happy, he just walked around the house looking for someone to pet him the whole weekend, didn't jump on furniture or bark in the house all that much. Only downside was that my cats fucking hated it so much. The one hid the entire time and whenever the dog got close hissed and made all kinds of awful sounds at him. The other was not a fan, but not completely shitty about it.

Only downside on the dog was he didn't play fetch! I threw a ball to him it landed in front of him and rolled past him and he just looked at it, looked at me then walked over to me and wanted me to pet him. What the fuck man.

Yup, we got our cats through an organization called Delaware Puppy Rescue, going to go work with them again, they were great.
