Thank god for the internet. Just changed a headlamp bulb in a process that would have taken 30 seconds on an open tabletop, took fifteen minutes ensconced between the battery, fuse box and a snake pit of cables, but probably would have been two hours of frustration if I hadn't had the wisdom of those who had scraped their knuckles before me.

Think maybe I'll try to get into Star Trek.

You did the Sunday NYT? I managed to finish it without ever fully realizing what the theme was. Left me very frustrated at the end, since I knew the answers were right, but didn't know what a bunch of them meant.

Rex Parker set me straight. It's a fun blog to read, though of course what he regards as general knowledge is obscure trivia to me or (less frequently) vice versa. Plus he does them in like four minutes, whereas an NCAA tourney game is about right for me, if not setting it down and looking at it the next day.
