Well, given how many officials ignore the request for townhalls... I hope this works with new voices requesting audience.

Yea, credit to whomever was able to push this through. President Trump has been hesitant (to put it lightly) to show aggression towards Putin, but this was the right move. Germany also expelled 4 diplomats today. This is the sort of unified message needed, with hopefully the will to go further (i.e. sanctions) if needed.

Protests broke out across the Spanish region of Catalonia on Sunday after former leader Carles Puigdemont was taken into custody in Germany.

Nothing like a little civil unrest to make the parents of a traveling child slightly nervous.

Virginia-based Digital Design & Imaging Service Inc., which uses aerial photos to calculate crowd sizes, reported the event’s peak crowd size was at 202,796 people around 1 p.m., CBS News reported. The firm said the number's margin of error is 15 percent.

Fox News is all over this, but there's something very odd going on. I'll need to see if I can hunt down the number but the Washington Metro station rider count for the area was much much higher.

Here is the juxtaposition for the local Fox affiliate

Over 550K train riders during March for Our Lives in DC Saturday

That almost 350,000 people had to go somewhere.

The Metro has an average weekend rider amount of 202,000 per a quick Google search, something to always consider when using public transportation numbers to estimate attendance for these sort of events.

I think that's where he got the "350K" number from, no?

But maybe that's not distinct "riders" (after all, how would they know?) but "trips", so it would need to be divided by 2 for each person's round trip.

I thought he was using the 350,000 number to show the disparity between the firm's estimates and the Metro number to point out that the firm may be low balling the march's headcount.

I don't know, it's not that huge of an issue except to needle our President's fragile ego.

There really is a tweet for everything!

@TheRealDonaldTrump

Wow, the ratings for @60minutes last were the biggest in a year--- very nice!

before work made me, well, work, I was disputing the 550,000 people who got off metro stops in the protest area to the 202,000 photo analysis estimate of participants. tat delta is ~348K, and I suspect that there were not 348K visiting the Smithsonian or Cherry Trees that day, especially getting off that the wrong stops.

Well, that was then, this is now (still no 'storm front' or 'bunny gate' comment however Melania is wearing white pants before memorial day)

So much Fake News. Never been more voluminous or more inaccurate. But through it all, our country is doing great!

A doctored animation of [Emma] González tearing the U.S. Constitution in half circulated on social media during the rally, after it was lifted from a Teen Vogue story about teenage activists. In the real image, González is ripping apart a gun-range target.

Melania tweeted, and I agree, that the press should keep Baron's name out of the cycle. It is hard enough for him to be a middle schooler and having this play out. Look how it F'd up little Donnie and Eric are having to live through their dad being a public scumbag. Now the whole country can play the game.

Well there is a presser with Raj today. Same podium, different liar. Unfortunately he did not bring a sign that says "Pres denies any and all anything with Stormy Daniels", "Never happened", because he said it like 5 times on the TV before I crossed the lobby. The best question I heard is if David J. Shulkin will be fired in person or via tweet.

The world is a completely shitty place sometimes. An 85 year old Holocaust survivor was stabbed 11 times and left in her burning apartment in France, antisemitism is a suspected motivation. How fucked up is that? Fuck people. Two suspects are in custody, one is in his late 20s per reports, not much released.

Steve King's facebook page

"This is how you look when you claim Cuban heritage yet don't speak Spanish and ignore the fact that your ancestors fled the island when the dictatorship turned Cuba into a prison camp, after removing all weapons from its citizens; hence their right to self defense," the meme said alongside an image of Cuban-American Emma Gonazlez, a survivor of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, speaking at the March for Our Lives rally in Washington on Saturday.

Been there for 28 hours. I hope he is voted out.
