But we do have battle ships. But they are moth balled. Many are now museums. Sometimes some of them were activated when we needed them. The New Jersey fired tomahawk missles during Desert Storm.

Just got back from lunch meeting with our House of Rep candidate Hayden Shamel. She is a great candidate, but given the Arkansas 4th, doesn't really have a great chance. It was a strategy session, and the emphasis was increasing turnout among African Americans, which is about 25% of the district. I was really impressed with the people there, and I continue to be impressed by the candidate.

The incumbent is pretty much a non-entity, and is near invisible. In 2016, he got 75% of the vote, with no Democrat on the ballot. The libertarian got 25%. Given how weird politics has gotten, I'm happy to spend my time (and some money) on helping out Hayden.

We're seeing signs of upheaval everywhere in this country right now. And it will probably get worse. My fear is that it will lead to lots of violence.

We're seeing it already with the bombs in Austin, the chaos in Charlottesville, the rise in hate crimes against minorities, etc.
