The context of this is that a British Television "sting" got the director of the CA sister/parent firm that operates significantly outside of the US, but apparently these businesses are so intertwined that these are basically inseparable. Targeting with specific physical, personal acts IRL is a hell of a twist.

Team Trump is trying to stomp the Mueller interview. HEY, NO SHIT. They want to go the Reagan route where there are written responses, but the Lawyers would do the writing. Just say not fucking way. Get his 239# over to the office.

Apparently if he got this passing notes stuff it would be completely outside the criminal process.

The leak is that they are afraid that he will lie when he uses his mouth. Where that is part of it, they have to be completely afraid of Trump being Trump. Get his folks out in the hinter lands to remind him that he is their champion, the absolutely smartest guy in the nations capital who went to the best schools, and has the most money of anyone ever. GOLD! Gold standard. Golden testimony. Gold gold gold. Show Mueller who's boss, the smartest boss. Make us proud hero.

not to mention the fact that he broke with longstanding tradition and became involved in the election right before election day, essentially throwing the election to Trump. I certainly hope he will be investigated with the rest of the people responsible for this. I would be shocked if it didn't turn out he bowed to political pressure from his party to help Trump. The other explanations just don't hold water.

I think most of us want to think we have some noble elected officials. I'm still dismayed that so few members of the GOP establishement stood up to reject Trump - from the primaries to the nomination to the election to now. I'm a lifelong Republican and fiscal conservative and Trump made me puke from the get-go. Say what you will about the policies of Mitt and the Bushes, but they never endorsed this cretin.

So now I look to the left for a hero.

Adam Schiff impresses me, but maybe Swalwell is the rock here.
