Maybe this bit of insanity is a local topic, but Trump had everyone sign NDA that last well beyond his term in office tied to him, with legal remedy tied to him. The details are sketchy, but it sounds like in perpetuity. As my HR rep says, that's not legal. NDAs are not loyalty oaths, and that will not hold up. There can be agreements that exchange something for a promise of no defamation (anyone ever been laid off?), but that is a different scenario. The NDA is generally to protect IP, trade secrets, or other business proprietary information, not to operate under a gag order.
