is that real or is it just one of those fake internet thingies

But there's something about this entitled couple , vomited from the bowels of two corrupt families, doing whatever they want and acting like they are too superior to ever get caught, that really makes me want to ... I don't know what, but something. I really think they are sociopaths, like for real. We're going to find out one day that he or she or both of them have done terrible things.

I actually feel bad for them at times. They've lost all of their friends in the last 2 years. Their parents have put them into positions in their organizations where they are destined to fail. And they are being ridiculed for situations -- being in over their head, being in charge of policy where they have no experience, being asked to help with a Presidential transition when an actual political professional should have been summoned -- that are difficult to navigate. Especially if, as I suspect, they do not have both the raw intelligence and emotional intelligence to evaluate when they are unqualified for something and act on it. But they may periodically think "if my dumb dad/FIL can get elected President, maybe I can help out with this..." I sometimes don't blame them for being overconfident in their own abilities.

Sometimes. :) Mostly, I'm just amazed that we've gotten to this place in the country.

I understand what you're saying, but I really feel like they know what they're doing. I agree they're not too bright and maybe that's all it is, but my instinct says otherwise. They both creep me out, especially kushner.

My wife showed me a video in her feed from a Tomi Lahren wannabe who was ranting on this very message. It wouldnt surprise me if that's the same video others have seen.

Edit: We decided that the video would be a good example of logical fallacies in action. We identified the use of ad hominem, red herring and non sequiturs without even trying.

one of them had a vid of some woman going off, so maybe that's the same video. I couldn't watch it for ore than a few seconds before turning it off.

The President's physician said that Trump would benefit from a diet lower in fat and carbohydrates and with more exercise.

I think that the confusion over intelligence, and actions are simply that everything has been served up on a platter and they are clueless. Money got Dad into an Ivy, which then got the rest of the family into the same Ivy based on that unconscionable practice of legacy admittance (over 30% of Ivy League admits are legacies). Money got the husband in, and dad bragged about buying his kids way into Harvard and NYU to gain access. Neither have ever had to work for anything while living off of questionable money, and their life lessons had to be crap. In my estimation you can save you pity for someone who deserves it, not two fast money dimwits who are unfamiliar with struggle, and worse, are pretty callas to those who are struggling.

Lincoln on the Know Nothing Party
August 24, 1855: Letter to Joshua F. Speed

The American or "Know Nothing Party" was an anti-immigrant political party of the 1850's.

I am not a Know-Nothing. That is certain. How could I be? How can any one who abhors the oppression of negroes, be in favor of degrading classes of white people? Our progress in degeneracy appears to me to be pretty rapid. As a nation, we begin by declaring that "all men are created equal." We now practically read it "all men are created equal, except negroes." When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read "all men are created equal, except negroes, and foreigners, and catholics." When it comes to this I should prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretence of loving liberty-to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocracy.

been working my way through Grant by Chernow. there was some really solid stuff on all the parties leading up to the war if you are interested.

If your empathy is simply nearly unlimited, than wouldn't it technically get depleted?

Is it ok if I show them the same amount of empathy they show others?

Anyway, I'm all for giving people the benefit of the doubt, but there's no doubt in my mind, or so little that I feel ok ignoring it. They're garbage and I'm telling you something is up with kushner. We're going to find out one day that he's killed a few prostitutes, maybe with his dad.

I am a novice at best, in legal matters, but when did it become purely optional to answer question? Bad memories about, flat out refusals, et. al. No contempt path? No fines, etc.? how worthless is it for these hearings if they cannot compel answers to questions?
