Yeah, I just see the 'distraction' narrative from time to time as if people can literally only think about one scandal per day.CalvinBall wrote:jersey is saying the thing monkeyboy is claiming is a distraction is specifically about what monkeyboy thinks we are getting distracted from

Also, while I was critical and snarky about this book yesterday as a waste of time and a distraction, I may have been wrong about that. Since our current political media has done nothing (willingly or unwillingly) aid and abet trump, maybe the best way to cover him is with celebrity style gossip and innuendo.
I agree with that sentiment. However, this is all likely to amount to nothing. Remember, this guy already has been recorded admitting to sexual assault and he was rewarded with the presidency. To Adolf's base, this is just going to be another attack by non-Patriots.
and it will distract everyone from Russiagate and what the GOP is doing in Congress. It's exactly what Trump needed. There's nothing I've heard from the book so far that I haven't heard in other contexts over the past two years. This is just some additional confirmation of what we already know.
Yesterday, Bannon said, "“The president of the United States is a great man. You know I support him day in and day out.”
Which thing do you think his supporters are going to digest, the great man comment or the secondhand comment about him being treasonous and/or senile? I don't think it will make much difference to his core base unless it's the first shot fired on the 25th amendment movement, which I think is unlikely.
The President's campaign chairman/chief WH strategist accusing the son of the president of engaging in treasonous activities regarding meeting up with the Russians, suggesting they met with Trump himself, expressing his opinion that the president's son in law/top aide has massive exposure on money laundering etc. seems unlikely to 'distract everyone from Russiagate' and almost certainly isn't 'exactly what Trump needed' but you do you.
Shouldn't you be holed up somewhere plotting how to steal from the less fortunate? Trump jr is not the president and it's all about protecting the top guy, just like most organized crime. We'll see if it makes any difference in the long run. No doubt you'll admit you are wrong if I'm right

When Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI in December, court documents stated that “a very senior member of the Presidential Transition Team” had “directed Flynn” during the transition period to “influence those governments to delay the vote or defeat the resolution." That "very senior member" was Kushner, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Brad Parscale @parscale
Truth: Jared Kushner and @EricTrump were joint deputy campaign managers to @realDonaldTrump. Nobody else. Not one person made a decision without their approval. Others just took credit for this family’s amazing ability. I’m done with all these lies. They will be embarrassed!

Kushner hired a man named Brad Parscale, a Texas-based digital expert who had worked previously for team Trump. According to Confessore and Hakim, Cambridge Analytica convinced Parscale (who has since agreed to be interviewed by the House Intelligence Committee) to “try out the firm.” The decision was reinforced by Trump’s campaign manager, Steve Bannon, who is also a former vice president of Cambridge Analytica.
